We've stayed with our extended family twice in the last two years at the Elysee and are always impressed with the courtesy of the staff, the complimentary breakfast and wine receptions and the hotel's fantastic location. We recommend it highly.

We stayed 5 nights during Winter Storm Jonas and were very impressed. The hotel staff were amazing - they remained cheerful and friendly despite being stranded at the hotel and having to work extra hours. Breakfast was simple but good (coffee/tea, bagels/toast, fruit and cereal). Hors d'oeuvres and wine in the evenings were a really nice touch. We enjoyed the... More

The Hotel Elysee is our "go to" hotel in all of New York. The people are friendly, always professional, always helpful, and always fun! The location is great for walking to all our favorites haunts and shopping. Rooms are comfortable, nicely furnished, and the hospitality room open in the morning and evenings for snacks, coffee, wines, etc. is a very... More

This will be my go-to hotel in New York in the future. I spent five nights at this hotel in early January. How special it is! The rooms was large and it was spotless. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was really quiet given it's location. The breakfast (included in the price of the hotel) was delightful and so much... More

Hotel Élysée is a small charming property that offers a warm retreat from the hectic pace of the city. The staff makes an extra effort to ensure guests are satisfied. Greg the front office manager has an excellent awareness of what the guests require for a good visit. . The second floor reception and sitting area is a lovely place... More

This hotel is located in a very convenient part of Manhattan . The hotel personnel were very gracious and accommodating and the price was affordable. The decor is extremely old and tired has not been updated in decades. It has an old musty feeling to it and I would not stay in this hotel again until after a major renovation... More

My daughter, granddaughter and I spent three nights at Hotel Elysee and loved it. Number one was the staff. Everyone, from the very helpful reception desk personnel to the wonderful people who worked in the club room were cheerful, helpful and great to Eloise (my granddaughter). Having the club room open all day was a treat for a 10 year... More

Highly recommend this charming and cozy midtown hotel. The location is perfect for walking to Fifth Avenue shops, Rockefeller Center, Broadway shows and MOMA. You will be greeted by friendly and professional doormen and reception staff. The second floor club room is a welcoming gathering spot for their continental breakfast buffet in the morning and wine and cheese reception in... More

Polite, professional staff that is always very helpful. Ideally located, the Elysee is quaint, clean and perfect. Attached to the Monkey Bar makes the hotel extra convenient as the restaurant always delivers a pleasurable dining experience.

When I go to NYC I usually end up in one of the big hotels but now that I have had a taste of this wonderful place, I never want to go back to the coldness of the chain hotels. The staff here could not be more friendly. The people who stay here obviously are in the know and also... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
