We had a 2 bedroom suite that was huge, but the furniture was not comfortable for sitting, and it was all in need of a redo. Small bathrooms, huge living area, amazing staff who surpassed every possible need.

We just enjoyed a three night stay at the Kimberly. Our room was very spacious, clean, and thoughtfully appointed...reminded me of a lovely place where we stayed in Florence. The staff is very courteous and we were quite comfortable. Loved penthouse breakfasts as well. Definitely recommend.

This was our second stay at the Kimberly Hotel and it has become our favorite place to stay while in NYC. The hotel was offering a winter special so we booked a one bedroom suite for our party of four. At check-in we were upgraded up to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite with a balcony, living room and kitchen.... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights for both of our 30th birthday. The hotel upgraded us to a fabulous room with a balcony with a view of the Chrysler building, a huge luxury shower and Jacuzzi bath set into the windowsill with pamaramic skyline views. We also recieved a free breakfast in the restaurant (upstairs) where my... More

As soon as my boyfriend and I entered the hotel the excellent service started. They held our bags because we couldn't check in yet, so we walked around outside. Anything you could need is within walking distance of the hotel. The room was ready 2 hours before the regular check-in time(they chased me down just to give me the keys)... More

Purchased on HotelsTonight and it's 1 am, so hot in my room, and constant noises of garbage trucks. I travel once a month, have two young kids so there is nothing more than I look forward to than a killer, quiet hotel.. I specifically asked the guy who checked me in for a good quiet room for kidless sleep and... More

Dear Guest, We are disappointed to learn that you did not enjoy your stay with us at The Kimberly. You reserved one of our deluxe guestrooms. Usually when a quiet room is requested and we have availability, we upgrade our guestrooms to suites as our deluxe rooms are on our lower floors. Unfortunately, you checked in very late on a... The Kimberly came up on my Price Line bidding. Price Line rated it as 3 1/2 stars which I agree with. Doorman, check in desk staff and check out were all friendly and efficient. Room was very large and comfy. Comfortable king size bed. My only complaint was that the bathroom (although well appointed) was quite small. Because of the... More

Recently I met an old friend in NYC for shopping, drinks and dinner. We do this every other year and generally don't like to spend a fortune on a room that we aren't spending time in-just getting ready for our night out and crashing for a few hours. The Kimberly Hotel was so great that we ended up buying a... More

Awesome HUGE room, crappy view, but whatevs! Huge puffy bed, very clean, ornate, awesome. Great location, Staff at desk were a bit on the snobby side. After my stay I "Liked" them on Facebook, and saw that if your name is Kimberly, you receive a complimentary Kimberly Hotel plush robe to keep! I let them know I wasn't informed of... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms and 162 suites ranging from 266 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. Our mattresses are covered with feather beds and decked with Frette linens, which earn comments such as "I didn't want to get up" from our guests. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $30 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
