4 night stay over a weekend. Hotel is old but very well maintained-Beds were great, bathroom is more than fine. I found all members of the staff to be extremely courteous and helpful with any questions, problems, etc. The hotel has a convenient location in midtown- close to subways if needed. I would definitely stay again on a return trip.

Me and my partner stayed at the hotel for 4 nights over Valentine's Day 2013. We had searched the web extensively to find a suitable hotel that met our needs, both location, comfort, price etc. and came up with The Kimberley. I have to say, when we arrived at the hotel we couldn't believe the room! It was a huge... More

We were there for 3 nights and I can easily say that I want to go to NYC every year just because I want to stay at The Kimberly Hotel each time. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and our suite was simply luxurious.

Skip The Kimberly. You can do much better in NYC. Keep looking. The front desk employees seemed to enjoy telling guest after guest that room types were not guaranteed. The smell of cigarette smoke in our "non-smoking" room and an A/C unit that clanked loudly through the night made the stay very unpleasant.

This hotel is one of the best kept secrets in New York. I have been staying here regularly over the past 15 years. The hotel is in Mid Town east on 50th and Lexington so you are walking distance to everywhere . Cut right across and you will get to 5th avenue in less than a 12 Minutes’ walk, Times... More

My fiance and I stayed in this hotel for a weekend getaway. It's an ok hotel. It's average. We've stayed in much better. When we arrived, it was very hectic and the front desk wasn't very pleasant to deal with. The halls and rooms kind of smelled musty. Our room was pretty nice with a good view, but the cleanliness... I'm sorry to say it has taken me months since my last stay to post something, but better late then never. My last stay was the first week of feburary and it was my second time at the kimberly. The first time was for my birthday last year and I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. It was amazing. We... More

We chose the Kimberly Hotel for the location and amenities, but the construction going on right outside our windows made it unbearable. We asked if the construction would be continuing during our whole stay of five days and received a rude answer, "There's a letter in your room explaining it." There was no letter. Had there been, we wouldn't have... More

This is our second stay at the Kimberly Hotel. It lived up to our memories. Our one bedroom suite was spacious, quiet and very clean. The king size bed was super comfortable as was the queen size sleeper in the living room ( no bars or springs sticking you from under the mattress). We had plenty of towels and toiletries.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms and 162 suites ranging from 266 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. Our mattresses are covered with feather beds and decked with Frette linens, which earn comments such as "I didn't want to get up" from our guests. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $30 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
