Stayed here back end of August and have to say terrible customer service from most receptionists, playing on their phones when i wanted to chexk in, then I had to speak first whilst the receptionist just looked at me if I was an idiot, too much energy for him to say 'welcome to the Wolcott hotel' as I had expected,... This hotel was reasonably priced for the area. Not too far from Penn Station and Herald Square. The room was small but very clean. It's an old hotel with lots of charm. Most importantly I want to thank the wonderful housekeeping staff. I lost one of my favorite earrings down the bathroom sink right before we had to leave. They... More

Looking for an affordable hotel in the heart of the city, I chose this one for my mother and I to stay at for a couple of nights, and this did the trick. We were able to check in early, which was very much appreciated, and they did offer coffee and pastries in the AM, though we did not take... More

This is a nice hotel in a very central location. However, it's not "budget" by any means. I recommend it with reservations; you can probably get a much better deal on a nicer hotel in the same part of town.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Did not have to pay for the usual swimming pool, etc.,which we would not use as we were there to see the City not the inside of a hotel. Will stay again.

We had emailed the hotel and requested a room on a high floor, with a view of the Empire State Building and a redecorated room. We were given a room on the 11th floor. The room was comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. There was no view of the Empire State Building. The corridors and lifts are not air... More

I've stayed here twice now and both times have been very enjoyable. The staff are very friendly and helpful with advice on how to get to various locations. The rooms are large and spotless. Shame about the breakfast of muffins and tea/coffee being restricted to a small area in the lobby with few tables. I was given the privilege of... More

The hotel is centrally located. The room was comfortable. the hallways and elevators are not air conditioned so unpleasant to be in. The only ice machine is in the basement. Internet is available with a charge!!

We were surprised of this hotel in a positive way. The entrance hall is impressive and lets you feel welcomed. We rented the room for three people and found ourselves in a big two-room apartment with enough space for all of us. Rooms were clean and had comfortable beds. Also an air conditioner is in the room. Staff is very... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
