Great hotel. The staff are friendly. And the rooms completely comfortable. The breakfast muffins a nice touch. A historical hotel handy for all attractions, especially the Empire State Building.loved the pictures of Buddy Holly. We came from England were jet lagged so the staff on reception dealt with us quickly at check in. Not a modern hotel but equally as good it’s of its era, that adds to its charm. Saw it pop up on Netflix in a series starring Forest.W.5star service for a 3 star price.
I had nice time here, thank you for kind service! I hope I can stay here next time! to travel NY.
I stayed at the Wolcott hotel for a long weekend with my mum and I can honestly say I cannot fault anything, the hotel features are amazing (built in the early 1900's). Service absolutely fantastic and the rooms amazing and spacious, I would definitely stay there again and all amenities close by,and all easily accessible either by walking distance or by bus or subway
After much debate we managed to decide on this Fabulous hotel with its brilliant location. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Coffee and buns an added bonus in the morning free of charge. Walking distance to all attractions if you like to keep fit. Five minutes from Times Square which is a must to see.
It’s took a while for me to write a review, but with plenty time on my hands, thought I’d do it now lol. We had a fantastic time in New York, and this hotel was a perfect base. It is a building of great history and a superb entrance/foyer area. Staff were very friendly, muffins and hot drinks were a perfect way to start the day. In all fairness, there’s plenty places to eat so why do hotels need to provide a menu!!!?? Our room was of a good size, the view not of anything of note, and the bathroom had everything in it that was required, even if a little “tight”. Overall, a great base. Round the corner from Empire State Building, 10 mins to Macy’s, 25/30 mins to Times Square.....defo stay again. Stay safe everyone 👍
We stayed here at the beginning of March and what can I say... Brilliant location of most attractions... We like to walk so was no issue. Free coffee and muffins every morning 6.30 to 9 if I remember correctly... Would definitely stay again.. Was like going back to the early 1900s but was upto date amenities.
We debated for so long over what hotel to book for our stay in New York, we looked extensively at reviews and after a noticing a very well written response to a clearly malicious review we decided to book The Wolcott. Well I can honestly say we were absolutely delighted with our choice. Everything about this place was perfect for us - location, cleanliness and of course the staff. The hotel itself is luxurious in design in the lobby and has an old fashioned glamour to it. The room again had the same feel to it but had all the mod cons and facilities you could need. The breakfast muffins were delicious and certainly saved us some money on breakfast every day. The staff were helpful, polite and accommodating at all times. We traveled with our 13 year old son and the triple room set up we had was perfect. I honestly do not have a bad word to say about this hotel and if we return to New York again this would be our first choice.…
We were a party of four on a five night stay at this period hotel. I can honestly say that this hotel is one of the best that we have stayed at. The decor and ambiance is great with the feel of a real turn of the century (19th century) town house. The staff were really helpful and unfailingly pleasant and I must really highlight the guys on reception who were exceptional in directing us to the best ways to get to various attractions and even kindly offering one of their subway cards for our trip to Coney Island. Even the youg guy fixing the lift (sorry elevator) was really chatty and fun. All in all it made our trip all the more memorable.
This was a very nice hotel for the money and they have updated it. I was totally glad they have sitting rooms in Jr. Suites. If I needed anything the staff went out of the way to accommodate. My showers head went out and they replaced immediately and we were drinking adult beverages but no refrigerator and the service man saw this and brought a refrigerator up without me asking. The only negative is the Coffee is terrible, I would walk two block to the 711 each morning to buy coffee, also our room was next to the service room where the garbage was kept. It would ruin your day once you step off elevator. I would most definitely stay here again. Great location.
Great location, walking to lots of places. Beautiful! Room was larger than many NYC hotel rooms and an ample bath for 2. Coffee and muffins available each morning. Helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely return.
