From the moment we arrived we knew that we picked a good hotel. Very clean, friendly staff. Sanitizing stations. Self sanitizing elevator buttons. Room immaculate, sealed with tape to indicate a sanitized room. Nice size room, I’d recommend a king size bed with full size balcony. We stayed for a week and appreciated the extra space. Room had a small fridge, terrific Nespresso machine. Nice bathroom with rain shower and hand held. Toiletries provided in a dispenser in the shower which I really liked. Plenty of towels. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great closet space. Iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Our room had a desk and two night tables one with shelves and one with drawers. Nice size flatscreen tv with ample channels including Netflix. Free WiFi no hidden fees. Rooftop and patio dining. Fantastic hotel. Special thanks to Karla Toala for going out of her way to accommodate us with our extended stay.

Hotel's Favorite
Stayed for a long weekend in February. The location is in a quieter area of 47th street so you will not walk out of the hotel into a crowd. The area around the hotel feels safe but city as a whole has taken a turn for the worse. We have visited NYC many times over the last 15 years and we saw more homeless and were asked for money more times on this trip than any previous trip. Also a lot of homeless on the subway which felt uncomfortable later at night when there were less people. Front desk staff was very nice. There are only a few rooms per floor so you do not run into many other guests which was excellent. We had a balcony that we were able to use even though it was winter. My wife enjoyed the heated bathroom floor; easy to keep the bathroom warm for getting out of the shower. We liked the nightly wine offered at the front desk. Breakfast and the breakfast staff were excellent. The attached restaurant was not as relaxed as we like so we did not eat there other than breakfast. We would stay here again and look forward to going back as soon as NYC returns to the safer place we feel it used to be.

Before coming to the Bernic I’ve read all the reviews. Some were good and some were back so I can be ready for anything. The room is great ! 1. I don’t know what they’re complaining about loud AC Bc all window AC have the same sound. And it’s not loud were you can’t sleep. 2. Due to covid they have short staff and will need house cleaning to be approved so request the night before. NOT THAT HARD. So I don’t know why people complain about that. 3. The lobby is cute. But we’re in NY did you expect them to have a BIG CASINO in the lobby? Finally I booked the corner space and the balcony is great! Make sure before you book you read the description because there are Juliette balcony’s Love the room love the staff. It’s very modern and a perfect business trip room. I was able to do work from the room because the chair was comfortable and the desk was big enough to get all my files out. Thank you Bernic you will see me again :)

Stayed there for 4 days and it was probably the worst Hilton brand experience I ever had! 1. Room A/C is noisy !! And it's right next to the bed! Was in room 901 had to down grade to 405 because the A/C in 901 sounds like a train running on rail! Moved to 405 it got better but not that much better, sounds like a airplane cabin instead. 2. If you book king bed with walkout balcony, you will be surprised how much you are misleaded to think there is a balcony. It's literally a balcony about 10 inches out. The only way to get a real balcony is to get a room to the back side, but note that there is no table or chair. It's pretty much no good. By the way if you get a king bed, it's so tiny you don't even get a table to eat on. And the queen bed with desk gets you a table that's falling apart for 1 person to eat on. Plus I am sure that queen bed is not even real queen size. It's really like a full size bed. It doesn't even fill the entire bed frame they had there. 3. Poorly maintained and not clean! With all the covid19 going around you'd think they make sure they clean it well. But nope they don't. There is mold in the bathroom glass and shower. They uses pump bottle instead of one time use shampoo. There is a fridge in the room and it wasn't wiped down. Table … nope not clean, night stand..Nope not clean, coffee maker , nope not clean, the capsules were missing and not refilled when we checked into the room. The book on shelf display has dust on it so it's not wiped down. Tv has alot of finger oil prints on it. And the floor omg so dirty. The vents from the A/C is so dirty it's unbelievable, while it's also poorly designed. You can have the a/C blow at your face all night (with blackout blind open) or running full power all night (with blackout blind closed... Because the blackout blinds are right on top of the A/C vent. Yup so you can sleep cold and bright or hot and dark. Did I mention the shelf's and lights are broken as well? 4. Weed! You like weed?! If you do, you'd love this hotel, in this hotel people smokes weed and even if you report to the front desk in this smoke free hotel, they don't do anything. They say they will charge them cleaning fee. But how's that going to solve my issue of enjoying a drug and smoke free hotel? Nothing. You get to smell it every night, especially in the elevator. When I report it, they ask me if I can identify which exact room it's coming from. Yup they expect you to be the drug sniffing dog from the airport. 5. You don't get anything. Gold member gets 2 bottle of water for the entire stay total! if you remember to ask them. No breakfast, no upgrade, nothing else. Yup nothing else is available to you from this hotel, no slipper. In fact if you want new towel you gotta ask for it. Do you own cleaning or request it daily. 6. After they changed my room, their system charge me the wrong rate. I had to ask them to fix it. Well front desk told me, I had to call Hilton honors to fix it myself. They can't do it. Took me another hour on the phone to fix this issue that shouldn't have happened. Shouldn't even be my problem. Keep your money and stay in other hotels
