Traveling during 2020 has been weird, but hotels like the Bernic make you feel much more comfortable. While the service and the location were absolutely the highlight, I found the quality of the room to be very good value. *Service* Front Desk agents were very attentive and great conversationalists. Particularly a fan of Kelsey and Andres for their ability to multi-task and provide strong service... *Location* A quick jaunt to Grand Central, the heart of 5th avenue, and not overly far from Central Park, you have plenty of options for transportation and activities. Also, on a quieter street so no major traffic noise at night. *Room Quality* Pretty modern room with decent balconies, a rare find in NYC. Clean and safe. Also, they give you water in paper boxes, which a sustainability-focused person loves :) Finally, they have heated bathroom floors...say no more.

Hotel's Favorite
Stayed for a long weekend in February. The location is in a quieter area of 47th street so you will not walk out of the hotel into a crowd. The area around the hotel feels safe but city as a whole has taken a turn for the worse. We have visited NYC many times over the last 15 years and we saw more homeless and were asked for money more times on this trip than any previous trip. Also a lot of homeless on the subway which felt uncomfortable later at night when there were less people. Front desk staff was very nice. There are only a few rooms per floor so you do not run into many other guests which was excellent. We had a balcony that we were able to use even though it was winter. My wife enjoyed the heated bathroom floor; easy to keep the bathroom warm for getting out of the shower. We liked the nightly wine offered at the front desk. Breakfast and the breakfast staff were excellent. The attached restaurant was not as relaxed as we like so we did not eat there other than breakfast. We would stay here again and look forward to going back as soon as NYC returns to the safer place we feel it used to be.

I am a regular traveler to NYC and this was my first stay at the Bernic. The amazing management team of Karla and Andres went out of their way to accommodate a prior cancelation due to changing NY state requirements, held business packages for several weeks and offered a first rate service always with a smile! The rooms are ample size by any NYC standard especially if you selected a corner suite with full balcony. The location is perfect on 47th between 3rd and Lexington, tons to do in non pandemic times..

This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel outside the Midtown area. I'm glad I choose The Bernic for my stay this time as I was not disappointed. Room was super clean & spacious, it had everything I needed (Mini fridge & coffee Nespresso machine). Two great bonuses were the view from the balcony and the heated tiles in the bathroom floor. Sharon was super friendly at check in & she was even there at check out time to say goodbye! Overall it was a great experience. The hotel is very clean and follows COVID guidelines. If you are coming to the City the Bernic is definitely the way to go!

From the moment we arrived we knew that we picked a good hotel. Very clean, friendly staff. Sanitizing stations. Self sanitizing elevator buttons. Room immaculate, sealed with tape to indicate a sanitized room. Nice size room, I’d recommend a king size bed with full size balcony. We stayed for a week and appreciated the extra space. Room had a small fridge, terrific Nespresso machine. Nice bathroom with rain shower and hand held. Toiletries provided in a dispenser in the shower which I really liked. Plenty of towels. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great closet space. Iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Our room had a desk and two night tables one with shelves and one with drawers. Nice size flatscreen tv with ample channels including Netflix. Free WiFi no hidden fees. Rooftop and patio dining. Fantastic hotel. Special thanks to Karla Toala for going out of her way to accommodate us with our extended stay.
