Historic place with fantastic staff !
A very nice place, an historic building, personalized rooms. Ideal situation near Subway and many restaurants. A special thank to the whole staff, each one of them was extremly polite, professional and we felt really welcome. We don’t know when we come back to New York but we would like to be there again.

Simple and comfortable accommodations without breaking the bank
My primary criteria in selecting a hotel for our weekend trip to New York were clean, comfortable, and an upscale feel without breaking the bank. The Renwick fit al these criteria! I was very pleased by the cleanliness of our room, and the bathroom, while a bit small, felt ritzy enough due to the tiled shower and glass doors. The hotel is also conveniently located relative to Grand Central for ease of travel (assuming the MTA isn’t doing something crazy with the lines). There is a $35 urban destination fee that the hotel charges per night that is meant for you to take advantage of premium Wi-Fi, dry cleaning, and $35 worth of credit at the hotel’s restaurant for food and drink. I can’t speak to the quality of the food as we used the credit toward drinks. While I would have preferred not to pay the fee to save money, it appears to be the trend for hotels in New York right now, so if that is a deal-breaker you may want to look elsewhere.
Thank you for the kind words! It's excellent you enjoyed your time at The Renwick Hotel! We pride ourselves in offering a clean and comfortable environment for all of our guests and your praise tells us we're succeeding. Thank you again for sharing your review with us! We can't wait to see you again soon for another amazing experience! Have a fantastic day!

Family New York stay with 2 rooms
I was shocked to read some negative reviews after we found the hotel pretty decent but we can only speak from what we found. Firstly the staff were a credit to the hotel, all of them were friendly, helpful and always spoke to us when we left or returned to the hotel. Room wise, we had 2 on the 15th floor, the rooms were very tidy with a very quirky feel to them. The rooms also had TV, fridges iron/ironing boards in them, the bathrooms & showers were clean & tidy as well. We had a balcony on one of the rooms with a couple of outside seats & it was nice to be able to sit out on the morning whilst waiting for the others get ready or when we got back in. The only downside to the hotel I found was the total lack of any food/drink available, they do offer vouchers for the coffee shop next door but we didn’t use them as we were usually up and out early exploring. They did give out free bottles of water at reception but there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms either. Housekeeping was good & rooms were made up every day, clean towels put in and bottled water replenished as well. We thought the hotel was in a good location having previously stayed on Lexington Avenue it’s out of the constant hustle and bustle but not too far out. It’s only a 5 minute walk to Grand Central Station, which we only used on one days as we mostly walked everywhere anyways. Would we stay here again? We most certainly would ! Also some people have mentioned the room tax thing - We have been charged it every time we have stayed in Manhattan & we thought it was mandatory?? Maybe worth looking into if it is not.

We used this hotel as a base on a recent NYC vacation. Excellent choice, asked for, and were given, an upper floor room at the rear of hotel with great views of Empire State. Quiet location, yet handy for all Midtown attractions and transport links at Grand Central Terminal. Comfortable, clean, good sized room. Front desk staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Free morning coffees a nice touch while restaurant is being refurbed. I'll both return and recommend.

Stayed here on vacation. I also use this for business trips too. Great hospitality, clean and very central. Rooms are adequately sized and they have a breakfast restaurant with very reasonably priced food. The reception desk could not do more to make our stay great. Very warm and welcoming. The housekeeping team were fantastic too.

We spent 5 days in NYC and I've got to say that the Renwick was a great choice. The location is first class and the rooms are big (for nyc standards). I can recommend the place wholeheartedly. Unfortunately our room had no view at all, but it was quiet and we'll kept.

A truly amazing 13 day stay at The Renwick. A beautiful, boutique, hotel just steps away from Grand Central Terminal. With art as its theme, each room is unique, serene, and thoughtful. Modern bathrooms and plush bedding make you feel like you are in a much more expensive hotel. But with all of that said, the staff is truly what makes the experience exceptional. Mayra was truly the most gracious of hosts - as was the entire team. Do yourself a favor and dont stay in the big chain hotels in Times Square. Carve out a quiet, artistic, convenient space in the city at The Renwick. This will be our hotel of choice moving forward.

I was hesitant to stay at The Renwick Hotel because I am not into Boutique places, but this is our family's new 'go to' place in New York City. We stayed there for four nights with our two young kids and couldn't have been more pleased. Peter and Yudy at the Front Desk always helpful, with a smile and answers to every question we had. Tarik going out of his way to make the kids smile, either on our way out or back into the hotel. Jose also with a 'hello' or 'have a great day' every time he saw our family. Sincerely thankful to all of them for their kindness throughout our stay. Our room was bigger than I anticipated, with a great view, and we slept peacefully after long days of walking. The location was fantastic, just 2- blocks from Grand Central and plenty of shops and restaurants close by. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and they'll be seeing us again in a few months.
