Good hotel, but pricey. The breakfast could be better. Michelle at the bar, and Tracy in housekeeping were the best. Elisabeth, the host at the bar was almost rude and contrasts wiht the kindness of rhe rest of the staff.
Beautiful hotel .. spacious rooms, good food and excellent service by Mi hells in the restaurant. Valet was timely.. good bar ..convenient to Starbucks . CVS . Subway stops.. nice toiletry.. bathrobes .. hairdryer ….would definitely stay again
The Beekman is one of a kind. Not only is the hotel beautiful but the staff goes above and beyond in every way. It is definitely a place that everyone should try to experience. We hope to be back in the future.
Lovely old world styled hotel. Top notch service. Look for Michelle at breakfast. She is so pleasant and attentive. Lower floor outside rooms noisy at dawn with NYC traffic. Bar extremely crowded in evening.
Talk about classic Manhattan. From the moment you step into the hotel, you can tell this is a place of refinement and sophistication. This hotel is designed to offer you a true experience in comfort and convenience.
From the moment I checked in to the online checkout, everything was a pleasure. The staff warm, helpful and polite. Amenities were lovely - room classic old school and exceptionally clean. The location was central to all that lower Manhattan has to offer.
After dreaming about returning to this hotel during the entirety of the pandemic, the long-awaited business trip back to NY was unfortunately completely let down by this hotel experience. The amenities were non-existent (turn down happened once out of five nights), there was no hot water for two days, what was promised as an apology for the lack of hot water was never delivered, and the breakfasts were inconsistent at best, and completely raw (omelet) at worst. From what was truly a beautiful hotel experience pre-pandemic, this hotel is sadly nothing like it was. I can only hope this feedback creates some momentum to raise the bar once again.
-hotel is very old and in a dodgy side street. View from my room was to a construction site with permanent noise from workers. Bathroom was old and shower didn't get warm for ages and have only very little water. Bathtub was way too small for a normal sized person and only filled up less than half. I had to complain fiercely to get any free water at all, since everything inside the room is extra. R On positive side, the hotel was clean and the room service did an okay job. I would not stay here again though as the hotel is way too expensive for what you are getting vs other hotels.
I have been to over 50+ hotels, BnB's, and resorts in my lifetime. This has by far been the best stay. This is in huge part to the precise attention to detail, beautiful landmark residence, and high level of service from the staff, especially Ali Gokce. 10 out of 10. I highly recommend.
Celebrating a milestone birthday, we didn't want just another hotel. The Beekman did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived by the welcoming doorman to the front desk, bell man and bar/restaurant staff, our stay was fantastic. If you are looking for a hotel with character and history this is it! Situated in the Fi Di in lower Manhattan, the subway is a 3 min walk away, The Beekman is easily accessible and a 40 min trip by cab from LGA. Plenty of good restaurants and breakfast places in the area as well as Seaport Museum and dock with view of the Brooklyn Bridge. We ate at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. Rated sleep quality 4 out of 5 cos it's the middle of NYC not a mountain resort!
