My room looked like the Munsters. All dated furniture. Felt dirty to sit on. For $2K per night, I would never go back. The 3 slow elevators do not run fast enough. This was a beautiful place, but no more. Worn out carpet everywhere. Elevators scratched up all over. The restaurant is in need of a make over.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay. We were in town to visit our daughter who is an emerging NY playwright. We were attending a reading of her work in mid-town. We liked returning downtown each evening to the relative tranquility of the WTC area. Great dessert and nightcap each night. The architecture of the place is a stunner. Beautiful lobby. The gorgeous restaurant/bar space with a kaleidoscopic atrium view is a highlight. Great Fulton St. Subway access with elevator to get the A Train we needed for mid-town. Amex Platinum Fine Hotel and Resort benefits were honored. Our room was upgraded and our credits applied at check out. We'd definitely stay here again. Wife adds: "Every piece of art work is fabulous." She's still talking about the Panda artwork in our room. Concierge was very helpful to us in timing our Uber to LGA for a very early morning flight. We'd definitely stay here again.

The Beekman does amazing double duty for folks who need to come into town for business but want to enjoy their time at the hotel while doing so. The staff at the hotel know what they do for a living and the property is impeccably kept and run. The bar and restaurant offer a great atmosphere for both meetings and after work fare. The meeting spaces at the hotel are great for board meetings and the catering is well portioned and timely. Overall, the Beekman covers their bases on all fronts.

We were followed off of the hotel elevator on our way to the room one evening. Had we not been vigilant and aware, I believe we would’ve been mugged as we attempted to gain access to our room. Criminals can easily enter the restaurant from the street and proceed straight through the restaurant to the elevators and stairs without being stopped by anyone. There is a single security camera on each floor as you exit the elevator, but there are no security cameras in the hallways leading to the guest rooms. We immediately recorded our incident but believe that it was not transmitted to the hotel security, because we reported it to the first employee we saw was a restaurant employee. Evidently the restaurant is not owned by the Hyatt, and it is now evident to us that the restaurant itself has no incentive to assist the Hyatt with security. I have reported this directly to the Hyatt, and hopefully they will enact changes. But I will never be coming back to the Beekman. And I will deter everyone I know for stating at the Beekman as well

The check-in desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and clean and loved the historic atmosphere. They even had a courtesy car in the evening, which was such a nice convenience. In addition, the fact that the doorman noticed I needed a car and took the initiative to offer that as an option was such an unexpected plus - service was overall fantastic.

Place was great, staff was great. Highly recommend staying here. I can’t express enough how accommodating the staff is here as well as the condition of the room. I’m just rambling on at this point cause it has to be 200 characters. You get the point

We have stayed at the Beekman a number of times over the past couple of years and they continue to exceed our expectations. The Hotel, the staff, and the Dining facilities continue to impress. We have recommended the Hotel to friends and they always come back with glowing reports. We are planning another trip this Fall, and looking forward to another great experience.

This unique NYC hotel has old world charm with modern amenities. The architecture is just amazing whether you are having a cocktail in the Cellar or stargazing on the rooftop. The staff was professional and friendly and breakfast in the Library Bar was delightful. Location gives easy access to iconic spots in NYC like the Brooklyn Bridge and Ground Zero and Battery Park.

Stayed for 6 nights at Beekman and loved it more each day. It was the most quiet hotel I have ever stayed at in NYC. The service was excellent and the place is gorgeous. I love the location, very nice to walk around without all the congestion of the Uptown Hotels. Beds and sheets were luxurious. Not so much the towels but they were always clean and plentiful (this is really my only negative). The Hotel is gorgeous and the Bar is spectacular. Excellent breakfast and great place to meet in the afternoon for drinks. I was attending the US Open and it was a lovely oasis to come back to. Great Job Beekman! You are really 5 Stars.

The Beekman has the feel of old world elegance with a modern twist. The oasis it provides on a side street in a busy part of the city makes it an exclusive hideaway. A good place to recharge. When out I keep saying to my husband, when we get home.
