This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

My gut instinct said don't stay here, but the location was great, and I'd already paid for two nights. That was probably the only fine point I could make. Once I walked in the door, the staff was not welcoming, the air was stifling, and in the waiting area upstairs, none of the guests were smiling or talking with each other. They do provide baggage storage, but it is not secure, as when I was allowed into the room, the door shut behind me, and I could have easily rifled through all of the other bags that were in there, if I were so inclined. It was hot and humid outside, and there was no relief from that inside the building. The toilet and shower looked ok at first, but every time I turned on the water, a bunch of bugs crawled out from the wall and flew around. It was freaky. The floor of the room I was in was absolutely filthy. There were two others in the room but I didn't meet them. They had commandeered all of the available shelves and hooks in the room. I almost booked a hotel for the second night, but wasn't up for the hassle of moving. Again, great location.

Good for one night , nearby everything , Macdonalds near, broadway. Cheap prices and great staff. I give only 4 star because my bed sheet had a big stain (dirty) but overall is a nice place for sleep.

A few blocks from Central Park and Columbus Circle. Fairly friendly receptionist. But, infrastructure of the hostel is crumbling. The breakfast is dry bread, grape jelly and tea with milk powder. It is served late at 8 am. The rooms do not come equipped with power chargers. Water filters never work most of the time.

I stayed at the Jazz on Columbus Circle for 5 days recently, and I must say that the location is excellent, but the staff is just a sour bunch of people, bordering on rudeness and carelessness. The breakfast food was bad, but that can be easily contoured by having a coffee outside, but hard to understand why these folks who work with the public are so off the kind road. on`t count on them for a helping advice!
