Stayed at the San Carlos Hotel for the second time in the past 18 months on a pleasure trip to New York. It is just so conveniently located and with , very spacious rooms which are beautifully appointed with modern style furniture and extremely comfortable. The beds are perfect for a good night's sleep. The hotel staff is extremely gracious...

We really enjoyed this hotel. It was the perfect location in NYC. Close enough to walk to major attractions, including Central Park, but tucked on a relatively quiet side street. The staff were very pleasant, especially the nice gentleman at reception who did magic tricks for my son. We'll be booking a return stay this fall!

Just had 6 great nights at the San Carlos New York from the 15th June. Excellent location. a little noisy across the road is a nightclub, but you are in New York & you have to get used to that. The rooms are large for New York, with Queen Size beds which is highly unusual for America, which were extremely...

My family of four stayed at the San Carlos Hotel for 3 nights. First trip to NYC. The room, Executive suite king, was fantastic. Very clean, very roomy for the four of us, 2 adults + 2 teens. Extremely comfortable bed meant a great nights rest. Very quiet hotel aside from NYC constant noise. Short walk to all the great...

My first time staying in the city with the family. After reading endless reviews I chose the SC because of the positive reviews, availability, location and because they have 2 beds and not a sofa pullout. I could not have picked a better hotel for my family vacation. First of all the staff was excellent, from the bellhop to the...

Firstly the staff here are excellent, friendly, helpful and very efficient. The hotel is ideally located on 50th and 3rd, $7 taxi ride to Times Square or a 15 minute stroll, and a similar distance to Central Park. the room sizes are 'huge' by New York standard and while not cheap it certainly delivers value for money by New York...

My family of four stayed at the San Carlos the first week of June in a King Suite. The room included a true king size bed and a pull out sofa for the kids. The room was very clean and large enough too accomadate all of the extra bags of souveniers. Only complaint about the room, the AC was too...

What a little gem! I booked a King Suite and had asked for a high floor and quiet room.. We were allowed to check in when we arrived at 11:30AM- how wonderful is that! The front desk staff was very friendly as was the rest of the staff from bellboy to housekeeping.. The hotel even sent a "birthday basket" to...

Across the street from some night life and walking distance to other great eateries and businesses, this small hotel meet our expectations. Our only complaint would be the sound of the air conditioner as it turned on but that is nothing in comparison to the quality of the room. Compact in size, yes, but offers everything you need.

We booked a double queen room. The room we got was good, fairly big for a new york hotel. The biggest plus is that it comes with a microwave and an empty bar-sized fridge that is for our use! There is a separate drinks fridge that the hotel provides for in-room convenience. But for us with young kids, a microwave...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
