We opted for a room with a kitchenette and a seperate living room because there was three of staying...the room / suite was spotless and the kitchenette is a real life and money saver....no half wasted food left behind, with this addition you can always bring it back for a snack later. The staff were so very friendly and while we had a few problems with are bathroom, which were totally out of the hotels control, the way and speed in which the problems were resolved was totally outstanding. Great value for money. No food directly served at the Hotel but the Indian next door is excellent and there are diners ten yards away across the street. Would not hesjtate to rebook in the future.
This is one of if not the worst place to stay in all of the city's areas. From every single angle it failed miserably. I would literally stay anywhere instead. From the beginning to the end everything was a big deal and pathetic.
Spent four nights at this lovely friendly hotel with my mom. Our room was huge with two large beds, roomy bathroom, comfortable chair and a desk. We even had a well-organized area with a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Housekeeping came every morning and was very cheerful and helpful. The concierge and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great for going to the Rockettes show and shopping at Rockefeller Center. Nice restaurants nearby as well including a very good Indian restaurant attached to the hotel. I can’t wait to return!
I had booked at another hotel but they cancelled my reservation since they had not reopened. I was a little upset because prices had gone up since I had originally booked, so I looked online for another hotel in the same area close to the price I wanted to pay. I had walked past this hotel so many times throughout the years and was able to get a descent rate for the weekend. I was hopeful that the hotel would live up to the reviews. We arrived mid-morning and while our room was not ready, we were able to leave our bags and go enjoy the City. We were given room 603 - a handicap accessible room that was right above the entrance. Large room with separate living room area with a tv and then the bedroom area with a tv as well and a large bathroom. The noise from the street was coming in very clearly and it took me two nights to get used to it. A hotel across the street provides ear plugs - this hotel should consider doing the same. My daughter slept on the pullout bed and said she heard noise from the hallway, which we did not hear from the bedroom area. Staff were very friendly and any request was handled right away, and we seemed to have plenty - ice, pillows, blanket, coffee, shampoo and towels - they even had a taxi waiting for us when we explained what time our flight was. This was great since we normally fly out of Newark, but this time we were traveling through JFK. Pros - location Rockefeller Center, Grand Central, tons of restaurants, subway, room size, kitchen area with microwave, fridge and coffee machine and of course, staff attentiveness. Cons - street level noise, our room was not made one day, and the shower stall's seat had mold on it. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely stay here again.…
Great location! Close to Rockefeller Center, Central Park, great restaurants, bars and more. Service at the hotel was excellent. Any time we asked for something to be brought to the room, it was delivered immediately. They also helped us get to the airport during rush hour traffic by ensuring we had a taxi lined up for us and ready to go (which was cheaper than Uber or Lyft). The room was very comfortable. Very impressed and would stay again.
