Stayed at the Roger for 6 nights and enjoyed every minute. Love the intimate, stylish lobby and mezzanine. All the staff are fantastic - from the doormen, reception to the cleaners. They were helpful, attentive and friendly. The location is conveniently located in a great neighbourhood. And breakfast at the cafe was just the best way to start the day.... More

This mid-town location offers perfect access to many parts of the city, uptown or downtown, and manages to combine the features of a boutique hotel with the service level of a larger venue. Rooms are comfortable and well furnished; my room, right off an elevator lobby, was quiet and soundproof. Perhaps more importantly, the AC worked brilliantly during a period... More

Overall maintenance and comfort of property was great. This was a typical boutique style hotel. We stayed here to celebrate our 12 year anniversary. However, our biggest disappointment was the pricey $30/day hidden resort fee not explained to us at check-in. We understood that the rate we reserved at would be the rate we pay. Our hotel reservation indicated free... More

The Roger is a great choice in Manhattan. Our double room was clean, stylish and quite a good size for Manhattan. The lobby, elevators and bar are all beautiful as well, with great patterns and textures on every surface. But the excellent, friendly service is definitely the highlight. The front desk sent up a complimentary bottle of prosecco after we... More

Upset with the bar bill. Happy hour for Oregon wines was $7.00 a serving, we requested Oregon wine, but we were charged $16.00 per glass without any explanation. $97.00 for 5 glasses of wine and a guacamole appetizer! Wow!!!

A very nice boutique hotel in Midtown Manhattan. Rooms are a sensible size (for New York) with comfortable beds. It's well located for both business and leisure, with particularly helpful front desk staff. It would have rated 'Excellent' apart from a particularly noisy air conditioning unit, that only seemed to switch between 'off' and 'ready for take off'. To be... More

Stayed at The Roger this past week. I found the hotel to be very nice, the staff pleasant. I thought the room and in particular the bathroom to be small. Location was good and convenient to Javitz Center. N

I was there for a business trip and from the moment I checked in the hotel, the quality and service was excellent. This is the first of many business trips to NY and I will definitely return to The Roger for my stay. Thank you to all the staff for making it a delightful experience!

Arrived shortly after 3, room wasn't ready till 4:45. Ended up being late for a rehearsal. Front desk gave us 2 free drinks at the bar, but being pregnant that didn't suffice. Overall hotel was clean, rooms were nice and location was great.

Bride and groom had picked this hotel for wedding guests. Bride was staying there too. My reservation was made in March. Check in delayed multiple times -previous room needs overlooked. Daughter- grand daughter in the wedding and due to these check in delays, they were very late for the rehearsal 55 blocks away.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This June, The Roger is unveiling a sophisticated new look after extensive renovations of its public spaces and guest rooms. Standing at the crossroads of uptown and downtown off Madison Park, the new Roger is a marriage of chic design and old world comfort, while continuing an unyielding commitment to superior service. The fresh aesthetic of the Roger’s public spaces is curated by hospitality guru Steven Kamali and designed by the notable Anna Busta. A collaboration of renowned talent has distinguished a transitional hotel that caters to the demands of the modern traveler and local tastemakers alike. The vaulted lobby lounge provides an ideal space for any time of day or occasion, from morning business meetings to lunch with family, or catching up over cocktails with friends. To update the spacious guest rooms, the Roger tapped Annette Jaffe of MSM, whose timeless original design has kept travelers returning year after year. Jaffe’s new rooms are characterized by lush custom pieces and applied moldings to naturally compliment the historic building’s unique rooms and inviting terraces. Whether for only a night or a weeks long stay, the Roger is the savvy traveler’s home away from home. ... more   less
