We recently stayed at the Roger Smith Hotel for 12-nights and loved every minute of it! The staff is friendly and professional, and guests are treated to daily yogurt and apples in the lobby, allowing you to get a healthy start each day! The hotel is an older one, but very comfortable and stylish. Midway through our stay, we were...

Beautifully appointed comfortable rooms. Superb beds and lovely people. We always choose The Roger Smith and each time we remember why we love it so much. The location is perfect for exploring New York. The hotel is such a great change from the anonymous corporate chains. Rooms are a generous size with great furnishings.

My room at The Roger Smith was so comfortable. In a city as crowded as NYC, the room was very spacious. There was a good living-room area with a coffee pot, tea and coffee so you can just relax after a long day of walking around or working. The bedroom was also lovely, a very comfortable bed and a nice...

This is an older property but very well kept with small but nicely appointed rooms and excellent amenities, restaurants, and shopping close by. On Lexington Avenue a short walk from Grand Central Terminal. Wonderful restaurants in all directions. The hotel has a rooftop bar during the warmer months - a great place to meet and have a drink. My room...

The location of this hotel is great - Lexington and 42nd - walking distance to so many places and easy access to others. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is yoghurt and granola available in the lobby downstairs which is a great snack / on the go breakfast. But...maybe we were unlucky but our room wasn't great. We had...

The rooms has just enough space, a decent closet and bathroom. the staff was friednly, the service was good and I enjoyed my stay here. They do not serve breakfast but had granola, yogurt and apples at the desk throughout the day for free. Also there are a couple...

I've been at Roger Smith many times and the service is always great! The fastest check-in! and support for any transportation and city info. Ask for Sophy! she solves any problem! Thanks This time I found the hotel needs to focus on maintenance: better carpet cleaning and renew some bathroom details.

This hotel has a great location and price. Attention was excellent t. A gem in NYC. The offer permanently granola and yogurt and fruit. There is also an expression machine in the room. The only problem wa the mattress, a bit soft and the whole place looks a bit tired paint-wise.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
