This was my second stay at the Roger Smith and i was able to check in at my early 9am arrival time. My room was not quite as nice as my first stay; nonetheless i felt very comfortable staying there. The room was quite hot-one of the side effects of steam heat, i think. Opened the window and nice to... More

I stayed at this hotel over a 3 days weekend. The first day that I arrived, the staff wasn't amazing, but they weren't rude, either. The evening that we arrived, my daughter played around the bed and found a pair of men's boxers, which she placed on our duvet. I immediately washed her hands and contacted housekeeping, where a very... More

The Roger Smith is a fantastic value in midtown Manhattan. I stayed for 8 nights on business, and was glad to be in a good location. The hotel is clean, but is worn and in need of maintenance. There were worn holes in the carpet, the lobby looks a little shabby and in need of an update. Bathrooms (clean) had... More

It's in a great location and there's a Starbucks next door. The room was clean and had lovely decor. The staff was courteous and helpful. Beautiful marble granite work in bathroom. I was very happy with my stay as well as the price . I would recommend the Roger Smith to friends and family!

A few friends and I came to NYC for the weekend, and The Roger is the prefect place to stay! From the check in, to checkout, nothing is complicated, and the staff is very friendly. We stayed here last year, so this is our second stay. And we'll definitely stay again.

I'm a regular at the Roger Smith. Location, comfort, staff,, breakfast granola, price--a treat every time I (sometimes my spouse) visit NYC. Junior suites are particularly attractive and reasonably priced. Highly recommended for business and pleasure.

I've just come from a four day stay at the hotel - my trip coincided with the blizzard of 2016 - and I loved every minute of it, due in the most part, to the attention given me by the entire hotel staff. It was my third stay at the hotel in the past six months and I look forward... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
