The Amsterdam was small, but when visiting New York who plans on staying in the room. The employees were courteous and the room was clean. Enough said. The location was perfect, with a Walgreens at the end of the block to the subway being around the corner, Can't wait to visit again.

Amsterdam Court was a good property; staff was very friendly and helpful; room lighting was poor esp in bathroom; shower was good however no soap dish/shelf to place soap/shampoos/etc; location is great esp for doing theater; all in all comfortable -

Great location to theaters and Times Square. Very helpful staff. Will stay here again. Rooftop deck is great spot for relaxing after walking around the city Would be better if there was a restaurant on the roof

Tho I only spent time in my room to shower & sleep, it was still far too small for an average sized person & their luggage. Door hit bed when opened. Couldn't walk around bed as there was no room. No desk. Tv was poor. AC wasn't cold & far too noisy. Staff were great. Area was good.

We loved the location, very close to theaters. The room was adequate, but the staff was very friendly. Fjolla and Ana at the front desk were very helpful and they had a great attitude! We would definitely stay here again.

The guy in charge with wellcoming the guests was very insistent to advise us a transportation to the airport. We tried but the conditions were not good. No air conditioning and stuffed as the temperature was 36 C0 outside. We regret not having chosen an uber. Concerning the room air conditioner very noisy, no space and some issues with the... More

We booked this hotel for four nights with it being central New York..We checked in late evening worn out from our travels and I actually cried when I saw the room allocated to us!! Room 319 wasn't even a room. It was drab. Old fashioned. Very dated tv. No space at all. Pitch black when the light was turned off.... More

Have thought about staying here on more than one instance--usually found a better deal elsewhere. This year's trip not so easy to do. I had a premium King Room which is VERY Spacious.Room and very well maintained. Desk staff were very personable and helpful.Unlike many hotels in NYC--the 2 elevators are pretty fast. (Albeit Small) Roof Top Patio is Very... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
