I was very overwhelmed when I was looking for a hotel and picked Le Soleil. Let me tell you I'm so glad I did. This was the perfect location for a lot of main attractions but also some amazing restaurants and bars on the same street. The staff at the hotel were nothing but lovely. They helped with all my questions and even provided a list of comedy clubs and restaurants to try. Would stay here again.

Myself and my partner actually stayed here twice. We went both times the end of November/December. It’s very central right beside Macy’s and Herald Square it’s also right off 5th Avenue it’s honestly a perfect location. Staff don’t really bother you which is what we like to just do our own thing. We were only there for an hour or 2 during the day and at night of course. It’s a small room but its New York so I wouldn’t let that affect anything. On our second time staying here a bottle of red wine was left in the room and a little message saying welcome back which I thought was great they went the extra mile. Room is spotless extremely friendly staff and there’s a coffee shop right on site we hired a car both times to drive us back to the airport it is about 60 dollars which is great because it’s so comfortable and we had extra cases from shopping. You will be charged a deposit of a couple hundred dollars when you check in but this is normal for the US you receive it back when you check out. When we go back to New York we will stay here again.

The location of the hotel is excellent. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the hotel is within walking distance of Macy’s and the Empire State Building. Despite being close to attractions the street felt quiet and safe at night.

We found the reception staff, concierge and doormen to be very helpful and friendly. Particular mention must go to Jamie- nothing was too much trouble for him and he was always there to greet us each day offering advice and suggestions. When he found out my step dad had injured his back, he arranged a later check-out of the room so my stepdad could relax comfortably until he left for his flight.

We stayed in an executive suite on the 9th floor. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice separate seating area with TV and sofa. The suite would have been great for 2 or 3 people but with 2 adults and 2 teenagers it was a bit cramped, especially as storage was limited. My mum had a larger room on a higher floor. It would be worth booking one of these if available, for the light, space and view.

Breakfast was perfectly acceptable with hot and cold choices at the buffet e.g. fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, bagels, pastries, sausages, bacon, eggs and potatoes. The bar/dining area where breakfast was served was small but we had no trouble getting a table each morning.

In the evenings, the small size of this bar/dining space was limiting as you weren’t allowed to sit at one of the dining tables just to have a drink. There were only a small number of bar stools around the bar to have your drinks there. The limited space also meant that the hotel could not cope with the large number of guests wishing to dine on Xmas Day. This meant that the food and service were not up to the standard you would expect, and some guests like us, ended up having their meals in the small lounge area outside the bar/restaurant.

The Xmas Day meal was the only thing which let our trip down especially as my mum ended up being charged for her meal twice. This was rectified by one of the hotel managers in the end but initially the restaurant staff were not very helpful. Overall, this would not put me off staying again.

We had a wonderful time spending New Year at the hotel. From the efficient booking process with Ms Yadira to the kind service by all the staff during our stay, we felt really comfortable. The Executive Suite on the 19th floor is pretty spacious, and the hotel cares about the smallest details in the room to make guests feel at home. The only improvement we could think of would be a stronger water pressure in the shower and faucet. We would definitely stay there again.

The Executive Hotel Le Soleil New York was just perfect for our 4 night stay! The hotel is beautiful and clean. The customer service was outstanding; Yadira, Jaime, Andre and Luis provide excellent customer service and went above and beyond. We ere able to check in early and leave our bags with the concierge after checkout so we could get some last minute sightseeing done! The staff truly understand the hospitality business! We stayed in a suite which included a sitting area with a pull out sofa bed. Both beds were super comfy and the AC worked great. The bathroom and shower were spacious and had all the amenities we needed including a magnified vanity mirror which was a really nice touch! In addition to the vanity mirror I was really impressed with a little security measure at this hotel, you need your room key to activate the elevator! The restaurant in the hotel was closed but there are at least 3 or 4 great restaurants right outside the hotel and the overall location is so convenient. I highly recommend staying here.

We had difficulty in booking the hotel from the UK with the hotels website. When we got there the booking was only for one of us. We found this a bit strange as in the notes we asked for a high floor room if possible, as we was celebrating an anniversary. They don't do anything for anniversaries either.
If you are looking for a hotel with a view, this isn't the hotel for you as a lot of the rooms like ours looked out onto an office block so no view at all.
The first morning we went down to breakfast and the breakfast was only for one person. We checked with reception and this couldn't be changed. My advice is to book the hotel without the breakfast, as the buffet is limited in choice and expensive for what it is. There are lots of breakfast places around which are lovely. If you do have breakfast at the hotel go early, as that is when the food is fresh and warm.
The restaurant doesn't seem to be part of the hotel. We went down to have a drink, we ordered our drinks and sat on a table. Next minute the restaurant manager said the table was reserved and we was escorted into the lobby, bit strange as no table reserved signs on the table, not a great experience.
We asked what the late checkout option was and was told they were only available on the day. The man on reception said they were first come first served. We said we would get up early as we needed a later checkout. We went down to reception on our last day, to be told that the hotel could extend our check out time from 12.00 pm to wait for it 1.00 pm wow. We asked if we could check out at 4pm and was told to do this we would be charged a whole day's rate.
Overall there are better hotels for around the same price in the area. I would not return to this hotel when I return to New York.

I'm a frequent world-wide business traveler and initially came to this hotel upon recommendation of a friend who contracts hotels in NYC for a tour operator. It did not disappoint! Been staying at the LeSoleil the last four years during an annual conference in NYC. The ambience, service, rooms, gym and benefit of the on-site restaurant is just what you need after a long day on business in town. I recommend to chose the King Room or higher category, the Queen Room tends to be on the small side, which is OK if it's just one person, though.
The hotel is not over the top and pretentious like some others 4/5 stars in NYC, offers very good value for money and it's just a nice and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

Stayed April 19 '22-April 21 '22. Every member of the staff whom we came in contact with was friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating, professional and likeable! The vibe is happy and positive. The location works well as you are steps from Bryant Park, Herald Square, Times Square, trains to downtown are accessible 2 blocks SE. A short walk to Penn Station and MSG. Citrus infused water all day in the lobby and in the eves hot cocoa is put out additionally. Pio Bagel a couple of doors down to the west is excellent for veg/fruit smoothies and bagel sandwiches! One of our group enjoyed a memorable cookie dessert downstairs at Trademark Bar + Kitchen one evening. Asked for extra towels and help with thermostat and Louis was there immediately. Needed shower cap, it was sent up immediately. Crisp, comfy beds. Solid doors, quiet floors.

My wife and I stayed there twice in 11/21 to celebrate her birthday and her work as a first responder supervisor in our hometown of San Francisco. We chose it online and it seemed like a good choice--little did we know how excellent this choice was.
We reserved the last room available on Expedia and when we checked in were disappointed because the room was small and unattractive. The next morning I spoke with Yasir-Raza, front office manager and explained that not only was my wife a Covid first responder in San Francisco but the visit was also to celebrate her birthday and it was our first trip outside SF in 2 years. The staff from the front door, Jamie, to the front desk, Eranny, Jose, Andrew at the front desk, were all super friendly and helpful and the room we were moved to on the 8th floor was a large suite with great views and accommodations. We had a fabulous time, turning a barely neutral expectation into a grand celebration of honoring hard work and enjoying life. This was a great experience and suggest the Executive Hotel LeSoleil, NYC for your visit to NYC which will raise your spirits, honor and respect you, and give you a great location in Manhattan.

Great location, friendly staff, small room - I'm sure the agency booked me the cheapest but it was meant to be for 2 people. i was grateful that, being on business, I was alone because it would have been a very tight squeeze otherwise.

Surprisingly large bathroom - would have stored a suitcase in here had there been two of us staying. It had everything i needed, it was just very compact.
The restaurant wasn't open on Sunday evening, which i hadn't realised, but they recommended a nearby Italian which was superb.

Breakfast was buffet or a la carte - i had cold buffet and it was absolutely delicious; fruit salad that actually tasted of fresh fruit and particularly good granola.

The only criticism i had was that when i got back to my room after 16.00 it still hadn't been made up so i had to call housekeeping, who came to sort it out very quickly but it meant i had to go down to the lounge area. It didn't seem to be possible to get a cup of tea or coffee there, i think all service stopped after brunch on Sunday.

Reception and concierge staff were very helpful.

Hi there. We stayed there in January, and from my experience, even within the same sleep category, not all rooms are of the same size. The first one we stayed in for one night was quite small, even for the three of us (two adults, and our 17 y.o. daughter). The "desk area" shown in photos was actually a small corridor connencting the two spaces. When we were moved to the 13th floor, it was much better. In any case though, the rooms are not spacious, especially for four adults.
