This hotel provided space that is normally not available in the city. The view form my room was indescribable, I was able to see nearly every part of the central city. I was close to restaurants and shopping destinations. I visited a the most amazing restaurants with my friends that were in a 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.

Hotel's Favorite
I was quite hesitant about booking at this property because my stay at the Edition Miami was just so darn awful but my fears were unfounded because I really loved the New York Edition. Check in was quick - the front desk agent requested a check on readiness of the room and I took the opportunity to ask questions about the destination fee. Kay the concierge was able to help me move my pre-arranged massage to an earlier timeslot with no difficulty and was super helpful. Ambassador status recognition: There is no complimentary breakfast at Edition properties for elite members but I enjoyed a spacious room - an upgrade of a couple of categories. I would have liked a room with a bath, especially as the shower felt super slipper but otherwise the bathroom was great and I loved the special Le Labo bath products. The room was clean but there was no turn down service after I left for the evening which was a little surprising for a property of this level. I chanced upon a lovely table for a drink in front of a fireplace to meet family and was looked after by Kim who was really delightful. I had breakfast at the Clocktower - the $14 smoothie was insanely expensive but the venue suited my needs perfectly for a quick, light breakfast. Upon check out, Kay saw me standing in line and offered to help check me out - that was an awesome service having concierge staff with such capabilities and willingness to help keep the wait down. Furthermore, I only had a short stay and she addressed me by name which I thought was incredible service. The Edition Miami might stink but I'm glad I took a chance on The New York Edition!

My wife redeemed Marriott Bonvoy points for a 5-night stay. She was very happy with her stay. As a Platinum member, she received a nice upgrade to a Loft Suite with a view of the Empire State Building. The accommodation was comfortable and stylish, and the room was very quiet. Housekeeping staff did a great job. The location of the hotel is ideal. It is in a safe area with easy walkability to many parts of Manhattan. The 23rd Street and 28th Street subway stations are nearby too. The staff at the hotel were friendly and professional. Great stay!

I just had the most wonderful weekend with my husband at the NY Edition. Each and every employee was beyond friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. Will & Elizabeth and their team are superstars and are the consummate professionals. This property is a treasure in NYC. Our room was contemporary, beautifully minimalistic, and extremely comfortable. It was hard to leave this slice of heaven after just a short weekend! I look forward to returning to this new found gem on my next trip to NYC!

Had another fantastic stay in NYC at Edition. Solid service, warm hosts and impeccable attention to details. Booked for an anniversary weekend and they made it very special for us with champagne and hospitality. Bravo ! We will certainly be back very soon.

This historic building is beautiful. We were looking for something in the flatiron district close to a couple of things we would be doing and this location was perfect. I booked a king room with a view. I did receive a very nice email from the hotel providing details on our stay. They did point out in the email that they were undergoing some maintenance work so there would be scaffolding and netting up. Needless to say our view ended up being obstructed but has the construction work not been going out the view would have been amazing! Rooms were very nice and calming and good size for NYC including a very large bathroom for the city. Decorated in neutrals which is perfect when you need some quiet time. The bed was slightly uncomfortable and the pillows were not very supportive. It was still a great room and there were only a handful of rooms on the floor. The elevator organization was great and made getting the elevator more efficient than many hotels in the city. The lobby is a little outdated and carpets and chairs could use a cleaning. The bar was great to hang out in and the food was delicious. Bartenders were really friendly and pleasant to hang out with. All of the staff here were so helpful and nice. Everything felt comfortable and not stuffy. We would definitely stay here again if we needed to be in the flatiron district.

Very disappointed with all the extra hidden extras. No kettle and tea in the room that I have had all over the world. They gave me a kettle after the first morning of being charged $25 for a pot of tea!. Then on my last day i ran out of my own tea bags so asked for two and said I would still have to pay $25 for the tea bag! Then they tried to charge us $50 a night for a roll out bed because they don’t have twin beds in the whole hotel so had to have a roll out bed for our daughters room as they wouldn’t share a bed. My husband is a platinum member which we have managed to benefit from all these years but this New York hotel was atrocious and greedy in how they behaved, Totally put us off hotels in New York. I don’t know how the other hotels in the city are to compare but will certainly ask a million questions before booking here next time. Just be aware of all this greediness when booking this place.

Greetings Mbadenhop1234, We sincerely value your feedback and for your continued loyalty as a Platinum traveler. The details and bedding for each of our guestrooms is listed on our website and confirmed at time of booking. Might we suggest our Family Suite for your next stay, which offers two bedrooms connected by an external hallway, allowing both privacy and closeness as it suits your preferences? Regarding your billing concerns, we hope that you will please contact NYCEBFrontOfficeLeadership@editionhotels.com to speak with a member of our leadership team at your earliest convenience as we would very much like the opportunity to redeem your impression of our hotel.

Stayed here for two nights for leisure prior to business travel elsewhere in the US. Really nice stay with quality room, nice service throughout and lively bar lounge early evening for a drink and nice quality bar food. Central location within walking distance of all major attractions.

What can I say about this amazingly beautiful upscale property that I’m sure hasn’t been echoed by people around the globe!!!! It is so exceptional that it leaves you SPEECHLESS ♥️! My experience with Reggie at the front desk was amazing to say the least. He was so attentive to the needs of his clientele i observed while I was in the queue he just made you feel like you were the only person staying there which is rare for a bustling NYC property. Thank you again Reggie for your kindness and I can’t wait to EXPERIENCE YOUR PROPERTY AGAIN!!!!
