Great Location, Great Staff, enjoyed the amenities around the hotel. Lots of foodie options, Chinatown 5 minutes away. Terrific property. I would recommend staying at this location. Parking is very reasonable through the hotel and not a far walk from hotel

My room was clean, wonderful shower, small but adequate, queen bed. view of an air shaft (as paid for and expected), slow elevators. I did have a sofa in the room. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for an overnight quick trip into lower Manhattan. The breakfast was fine, not fancy but edible. Being on a tight... More

The fact that the decoration is old fashioned was actually a nice change from many very modern hotels that we have been to in the past. Wallpapers and old marble, warm wood and old fashioned sofas. This place was REALLY clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful - we felt right at home. The breakfast is included and... More

We stayed here 2 years ago and therefore booked again for our August visit. The cons: This location is listed as a "Plus" but sad to say is not. The hotel/rooms is/are sorely in need of repairs and a renovation. The lobby and common areas needed refreshing; saggy and stained chairs, scratched and chipped furniture. One of the 2 elevators... This hotel is located at the extreme south end of Manhattan, a fantastic area that probably attracts its guests. Unfortunately, they will be disappointed, particularly those used to BW's high standards. The lobby is inviting and comfortable, with computers available and staffed by pleasant personnel (but not particularly helpful in a concierge manner). The rooms are quite small and show... More

I booked this hotel because the price was very reasonable for NYC and the reviews were good. Well, we weren't disappointed. It is in the historic Seaport District so lots of interesting buildings, shops and restaurants close by. Close to Brooklyn Bridge, the subway, Wall Street. We walked along the East River to Battery Park. Our room was very nice... More

For being on Manhattan island, near the Brooklyn Bridge, the rate is rather good. A bit of a walk to nearby subway stations, might be more difficult in the rain/snow, but we went during the warm summer. Plenty of local restaurants nearby, though like anything in New York, nothing is cheap. The hotel looked and felt like it was more... More

Reminds me of an old fashioned seaside hotel in the UK! But that is a good thing. Helpful staff. Room basic, but fine. Clean. Good AC. My TV didn't work but I wasn't bothered. Front desk gave me a credit so all fine. In a great location under Brooklyn Bridge. Seaport area is cool. Great stay.

The Location of this hotel is amazing for South Street Seaport. We were a block from the restaurants and shops. We picked this location because of the price and we were just going to be there for the day and one evening. The rooms are big in this hotel which is very rare and with 3 of use it was... More

This is a nice modest hotel in an excellent location with good service and good accommodations. However, you should skip going there in the summer. There is no central A/C and the portable units used in the room are extremely noisy. Other than this, I find the hotel to be a good choice if you wish to be in that... More
