Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Dream Midtown has received mixed reviews, with its prime location near major attractions being a highlight for guests. The service is often lauded for its attentiveness and professionalism. However, concerns have been raised about the value for money, pointing to additional fees and inadequate amenities. Although the rooms are acknowledged for their cleanliness, their small size, poor lighting, and dated feel have detracted from guest comfort. The hotel's atmosphere garners mixed reactions, and the noise level is frequently cited as a disturbance to a peaceful stay.

While using the sink water to brush my teeth, came a sputter of dark brown water. I had just drank out of that sink the night prior. There was also a disgusting sewage smell coming from the elevator shaft when we walked in. I'll never stay here again. However, the staff was lovely.

Nice decent hotel rooms sort of small but very clean. Would recommend to others. I went for anniversary. The bed was comfortable. We had hot water. The heat worked fine. Nice big window. Wish the room was bigger

The lighting in the room was poor and the room was always dim even with all the lights on. Even the bathroom was dim. And the room was extremely drafty and loud. It sounded as if the window was opened but we checked several times and it was not. It was so drafty in the room the shade did not lay flush with the window and it was so cold in the room we had to sleep in multiple layers to get comfortable. Housekeeping did not show up on our second day so we did not get French towels/linens or the daily water we were supposed to receive. The staff was nice and the rooftop bar was beautiful. And the location was great to walk to shopping, restaurants and the theatre. Overall we would look for another place to stay within that area in hopes to have a more restful stay.

When we arrived, they provided us with two glasses of Prosecco, allowed us to stay parked there while they took our bags upstairs and we were able to finish our glasses. Attended to our needs the entire time we were there and easy to talk to.

I would definitely stay here again. Room was clean and the location was perfect. Mike at the front desk went above and beyond and I am very appreciative and satisfied with my stay. 10/10 recommend! (=

What a great hotel!!!! We received a warm welcome and no fuss check in. We had a double silver room....two adults/two kids (12&15). It was clean and ample for sleeping, showering and a quick rest. Excellent maid service everyday. Location was perfect.....just between Central Park and Times Square. The daily free water everyday was v welcome and the reception staff were always helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. There was fruit, cereal, crossaints, bagels, yoghurt, coffee etc. Great start to the day. And the manager in the restauramt was outstanding. I forget his name but he was from Bangladesh. He couldn't have done enough for us. Thank you!! Date of stay: February 2024

This is the second time we have stayed at the Dream Hyatt Midtown NYC. The subway is on the same block. The staff is so kind and willing to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and showers are great. Serafina restaurant adjoining worked out fine for breakfast . We enjoyed our kind of breakfast with cereal, juice, fruit, yogurt, fresh croissants, bagels and beverage .You can order a cook to order if you want more. Amenities fee includes daily 3pm Prosecco. This hotel has everything you could want during a visit to NYC. We visit our daughter who lives on Upper East Side.

I spent four nights here and loved it. Small enough that you don't have to wait ages for the elevators, as you do at the huge hotels. Lovely rooms (I moved for the last night when my husband and son joined me), friendly staff. A floor to ceiling fish tank in the lobby! Edwin greeted me warmly every time I saw him and helped me move rooms. Maurice at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. I researched for a long time before I chose this property becausse I hadn't stayed in New York for ages, and I'm so glad I did. As a female traveler staying on my own the first three nights and felt very safe in the hotel and in the neighborhood.

The staff at the Dream Hotel was exceptional. We needed rooms on the same floor which were not available at the time of check in. However the front desk attendee and manager ensured that they would work it out and exceeded our expectations. From offering a birthday cake, bottles of wine and comping our rooms, we were well taken care of.

Enjoy all that NYC has to offer--both walking distance and easy subway access to everything. Beautiful views from a delightful and comfortable rooftop lounge, classic cocktails at the lobby-level bar, and excellent food partnership with Serafina restaurant.
