Stayed here for 2 nights after our wedding in NYC and couldn’t recommend the hotel more. The room was gorgeous and the staff very attentive. The box of chocolates they provided in the top was delicious. The only downside was having to go back to real life and our Manhattan apartment after those two nights.
As usual I made a last minute reservation to celebrate our anniversary during these trying times. We live in the suburbs now so it was nice to be in the City even though its weird that the hustle and bustle is missing. Its easy to miss this hotel if you are not paying attention but the bellman are very helpful in getting you in the door. The hotel has an arrangment with a lot about 3-4 blocks away for reasonable parking rates ($39 per day). The reception area is on the second floor and they were ready fo us so no wait at all for our early check-in (thank you American Express). The room was a tad larger than the boutique style that appears to be so prevalent in the city. The shower was a great size and the large shower head fantastic. There is decent closet space and a large table to eat or do work if you so choose. The location is great with a lot in walking distance to eat and drink. I was pleased with both the service and cleanliness. They had a few masks and hand sanitizer in the room.…
Our room was very attractive and clean. However we experienced difficulty at check in. Our key would not work after 3 tries. They did offer an upgrade to a handicapped accessible suite which was wonderful. We tried to book a second room for a family member that night but they wanted an outrageous price. They said their policy was to charge the high rate for same day bookings. This seems to be an unnecessarily rigid approach for a hotel that was probably not full at the time. It also felt unwelcoming to us as paying guests. A few amenities were missing for this pricey room. How about a newspaper and a pen? Also parking is difficult. The garage was several blocks away and hard to find. These admittedly minor concerns added up to feeling like the hotel was not a smoothly running operation and not quite up to a top rating. Maybe they were out of practice with the pandemic.…
The Baccarat is a beautiful hotel with great service and well designed and comfy rooms. We were glad we had an excuse to visit, we hope the bars will be able to open again soon, and we were happy to be able to support the hotel during these hard times. I love the doormen here, they are so kind and cheery. Check in was quick and easy, again a lovely person taking care of us. The rooms are elegant. There is closet space if need be, the bathroom large with a nice shower with lots of pressure and hot water. No tub in this room so if you want one pick your room choice carefully. The television is part of the mirror - so no ugly tv on the wall. Breakfast room service came exactly on time, again friendly waiter, food was hot. Leaving the doormen again wished us well. Hope to return again soon. You should go and treat yourselves and also support the hotel. We didn't have time for the spa, but will make time next visit.…
Exceptional customer service, covid safe and one of the most beautiful hotels in New York. Absolutely loved this beautiful hotel. Traveling for business and I will definitely be back! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!
