Edging the bright lights of Broadway and the calm of Bryant Park, The Knickerbocker is a legendary New York landmark reborn as the first luxury hotel in Times Square. The Knickerbocker is a haven of refined elegance, created by John Jacob Astor in 1906 and now reimagined into a sophisticated urban sanctuary mere blocks from Fifth Avenue, MoMA, Rockefeller Center and Central Park.

But I really liked the Knickerbocker! Was in town for an event with hotel arrangements made for me. I am so glad because i never would have chosen to stay in TS—the noise, the crowds, bad food. But the hotel was very pleasant and our room spacious (!) and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. And the rooftop bar was cool.

Hotel's Favorite
We've stayed here before and time and time again we are so impressed with the staff of the Knickerbocker. This time, we had some friends come over after dinner and they couldn't believe how much nicer "our" hotel was then the one they were staying in downtown. 3 staff members that were outstanding and did everything they could to make our stay memorable. Ming (front valet) greeted us upon arrival and started our weekend out on a great note. He was also on when we checked out and is excellent at his job. Andre also helped us when we were leaving and is also an excellent staff member. They're both friendly and charming. Upstairs we were given wonderful service by Afua Bocitemcia. She was extremely helpful, courteous and did everything she could to make our stay one that will of course have us come back again. Kudos and thanks all around.

I just got back from staying four nights at the Knickerbocker hotel in Times Square and I have so many great things to say about them. We arrived and the concierge saw our bags and immediately pointed us in the direction of check in. There was a short wait but when we were seated at the desk the agent was so cheerful and pleasant. The upgraded room made the honeymoon even more special. The room was beautiful and nicely renovated. The décor was so up to date and had a great lighting scheme throughout. The location in Times Square was so ideal for everything that I wanted to walk to. One of the most amazing parts of the stay was that even though you were smack dab in the middle of Times Square, it was very quiet in the room. Housekeeping was very attentive and I never needed for anything. I also loved the way that through text I was asked if I needed anything and they made sure I was enjoying my stay. It is blatantly obvious that this hotel cares about the customer experience.

We booked The Knickerbocker Hotel for its central location and roof-top bar. The location was very central, happy with how it was near to everything we needed. The roof-top bar was a bit of a disappointment as it was closed off on all the days we were there to accommodate companies having corporate parties, we had to find alternative bars to drink in, not good as was really looking forearms to that part of my stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, spacious and had all the mod-cons such as shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, slippers, bath robe, secure safe, iron/board, fridge, large tv, telephone and remote controlled black out blind. We decided not to have breakfast at hotel as it was not included in the price however we found a lovely breakfast place called Pershing Square which was only about a 7 minute walk beside Grand Central station. The beds in this hotel are extremely comfortable and have a selection of pillows. Air con in room is excellent. Check in at hotel and luggage collection a little slow at this hotel. The hotel offers a great blow-dry service who come to your room. I just want to note that while staying here at this hotel after we checked in, we received about 15 emails which were all ‘no reply’ emails and had no contact details which we thought was strange. We loved our stay here and congratulate the staff on their lovely hospitality.

The property is perfectly located. Close to grand central, Times Square and fifth avenue shopping. Rooms are spacious. I would prefer Molton Brown amenities. Turndown service included a box of very necessary chocolates. A nice treat.
