It's a good place to stay for a short period of time. the room with bunk beds is really small, but I found it very functional. the service is not that good, but I have no major complaints. Overall, I thought it was good!
This is a perfect location to tour New York. The beds were vey comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a king bed and the room was definitely tight but well laid out and since we were not in the room much it was perfect. We had a accessibility room and it had a perfect shower, the only complaint is there is only 1 mirror high above the sink. This is not accessible and the mirror in the closet is on the wrong door. This should be corrected. also the shower curtain smelled and got worse over the days. this is not changed after each stay.
Located within blocks of Madison Square Garden, the Empire State Building and Penn Station, this hotel is a gem. Rooms are well appointed and although I was close to the elevator I wasn’t disturbed by it. The cleaning staff are amazing d having a fridge and coffeemaker in my room was a bonus, the wifi was great o.
We have just returned from 3 nights in The Paul Hotel New York. We had to quickly find a hotel after our Airb&b in Brooklyn turned out to be in a basement with no possible escape in an emergency. The Paul website offers breakfast and a rooftop restaurant with bar.The restaurant is closed and breakfast was nowhere to be seen. The lobby had 2 chairs and that was it.The room for 3 didn't have room to swing a cat.The air conditioner was not working properly and we were sweltering with outside temperatures of over 30°C.Our room with "Manhattan view" had a window which showed the side of another building just a few meters away. The shuttle to the airport mentioned on the website turned out to be a car service costing 120 dollars.A taxi was cheaper. The reception staff were very unfriendly . No,"Good day, enjoy your day"or even an acknowledgment when we passed in and out. They showed with their attitude that they had no interest in their guests The only way to survive the stay at this hotel was to spend as many hours as possible outside it.…
It was AC. It barely worked so when we were trying to sleep, it was a bit uncomfortable. The front desk associate was nice and I didn’t see anyone else during my short stay. The outdoor lounge area was not maintained and did not look inviting. If you are just needing a place to sleep this is not bad just check the AC as soon as you get into the room.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! Do not stay at this trash hotel. We had NO AC in our first room. We were moved to a second room where we were told the AC was working. After 30 minutes in the room the AC never kicked on. Both rooms only had the fan running. We spoke with the front desk who said they would forward our complaint to the manager but they could not offer us a refund on the spot. While leaving we were told we had to email the manager for a refund. It has been a WEEK with no email replies to 2 messages. No phone calls back with messages being left. Now their front desk voicemail is full. No one answers the phones at this hotel.
When I got a room at the PAUL HOTEL, the price was really good. When I arrived, I found out that I had two bunk beads. Apparently, I or Hotels.com made a mistake. The room is clean as can be. Everything is tiny. My experience with the bunk bed was not good. I am going to change my room for a surcharge. My other issue was that the hotel appears to be understaffed I tried calling "customer service' for about 10 minutes and no one answered. I am the type of person who loves a nice hotel lounge. There is nothing in this hotel. There is a beautifully open outside space where there could be tables and chairs. It is empty.
We stayed in the Paul for three nights as a family, sharing two rooms. The rooms were not the most spacious (hey it’s NYC!) but comfortable and clean. Both rooms were tired and need a little updating, with fixture / fittings damaged or non-functioning but nothing that really impacted our stay.
First, management is off-site. No phone calls or emails prior to arriving will be reviewed. The rooftop bar has been closed since the start of the pandemic and the viewing terrace - hotly advertised on their site is ‘under construction’. Rooms and hotel were clean, bed was comfortable and all rooms have a refrigerator. Room was about the size of a closet - I regularly bumped my knee on the bed while exiting the bathroom. The staff seemed indifferent at best. Perhaps good for singles for one or two nights? I think with the plethora of hotels in the area, one could do better. The Chelsea Pier and Highline is a 20 minute walk away and a lovely respite.
This was the worst hotel I have ever seen. It was dirty and unsafe. The rooftop was closed due to not passing inspection. The room had broken items the window had no screen or safety features there were cigarettes in it the room was absolutely disgusting. I left as soon as i saw all the issues. I tried to work with staff but they were unable to make any decisions. I tried to reach management and they were not on site you could not call them and they were unresponsive to emails. On top of canceling my stay and leaving within the hour, they still charged me for the full stay. And took additional money on top of that. Please do not get swindled by this disgusting place. They should be shut down.
