They forgot to clean my room in 3 days, they don’t have enough staff. Total unacceptable. They said me yesterday that will go the day after and they never came. The person of the front desk never try to help, he only say sorry please go to your room. And that I have to put all the trash in front my door. Please don’t go to this hotel.
We were relocated to the Paul Hotel by EconoLodge Times Square due to the EconoLodge closing because of Covid. The hotel was VERY clean. NO cigarette smell at all which is very important to me. We had a beautiful view of the Empire State Building from the 16th floor. We slept with the windows open to take in the sounds of the city. The price is reasonable, the staff was very friendly, the location is perfect and the subway is literally right around the block. I highly recommend.
I’ve stayed a few times at Paul during the Panasonic and it’s always clean with a very friendly staff. M.D. the great front desk employee made it a quick and smooth checkin for me late night, and a few hours later he was just as friendly and efficient for an early morning check-out. The beds are very comfy and the whole place has a dark, walnut look.
We enjoyed staying at The Paul. It was a quaint little room. However, there was a dirty towel in the closet, the lamp closest to the bathroom had a blown lightbulb, and the soda machine was low on soda so there were very few choices of what to drink from it. Other than that, the room served its purpose as somewhere we can sleep and rest. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows were nice and fluffy. Might I suggest a “Get Aquainted” packet be put in the rooms? You know, a packet informing what some popular attractions are, or some good places to order from around the hotel. Also, a menu for your restaurant and bar. Something that guests can use to familiarize themselves to your part of town and to your establishment. We would stay there again.
I only just “moved in,” for a week, before my roommate situation opens up on 4/1/‘21, and...Jeezassss, I’m already being treated like a MASSIVE VIP/Superstar (& I’m just an unemployed nightclub bartender soon to be grad-student) by Tenzin, M. D., and Puja (hope lunch, a week ago, was nutritious and delicious!!!) !!! Unbelievably SUPERB hospitality/customer service!!!!!!! They upgraded my room from “as cheap as you got” (my request) to luxury, without me asking for any special favors...upon arrival!!! (Nor special charges!!!) But, hold on!!! When I entered my room...Holy Moly!!! It’s LUXURY on a SUPER reasonable/fair budget, like I’ve NEVER SEEN BEFORE!!!!! I couldn’t BELIEVE how aesthetically beautiful and inviting my room is!!! (507...reserve that room, it’s small but GORGEOUS!!!) I wish I was here with a lady/fiancée/bride!!!!!!! I could honeymoon here anytime!!! I know this is “just” a hotel...but I kinda just wanna move in, and live here!!! My first GREAT experience, coming back to NYC after a 10 month hiatus, in January, was at another Ascension Hotel Collection: The Union Hotel on Degraw Street, btw. 4th & 3rd Ave in Brooklyn. That was AMAZING!!! The Paul is even better!!! (Great “Statue of Liberty” crown-suggestion over the entrance...reminiscent of the actual Statue of Liberty crown over El Teddy’s [West Broadway/TriBeCa...no longer]— as seen in the Sex in The City opening!!) Plus, I work at Paul’s Casablanca (305 Spring Street — formerly Sway Lounge) which will hopefully open again SOON!!! so staying here just seems like the right way to start the soon to be opened record breaking season of nightlife of 2021-2022!!!!!!! I’m a New Yorker (28+ years) so I shouldn’t need to stay in hotels but, if I ever have to again...Ascend Hotel Collection ONLY from now on!!! And for Downtown...THE PAUL!!!!!!! Nothing but!!!…
