We stayed here for 7 nights in January in one of the apartments upstairs. We absolutely loved the location. It is surrounded by fantastic restaurants and Chelsea Markets just down the road. You could actually spend a whole week eating in the neighbourhood and not have to leave once! The apartment was great. A good size for our family of... More

On a recent visit to NYC, we spent 4 nights at this nice spot. Unfortunately, the weather was not conducive for spending time in the lovely garden, but it was pleasant to open the blinds and look at the setting. The apartment we occupied is located below street level, typical of Manhattan brownstones. The space is clean, large and contains... More

I returned here 6 months later with my husband and it was a wonderful as when I visited in May. I cannot understand why anybody would prefer to stay in a hotel when you can experience a lovely neighbourhood like Chelsea and have the space and comfort this offers you. Karen was as helpful and charming as before. The restaurants... More

We stayed here in September 2014 and coudn't have hoped for a better experience. Ours was the upstairs 1-bed apartment. It was well equipped, clean, comfortable and secure; everything worked, and Karen and Paul are delightful hosts. The location was perfect: a classic brownstone in a quiet side street, yet a short stroll from the action, restaurants and (very handy)... More

A Garden in Chelsea meets all requirements for a great apartment with a home away from home feel. The garden a little paradise after a busy NY day. Everything is well appointed, the location is amazing, Karen was a wealth of friendly information. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer but there will be another time when next in... More

We stayed in the 1 bedroom 2nd floor apartment overlooking the street for a week in mid September and must say, it was one of the best places we have stayed in for a long time. Plenty of room, a kitchen for morning basics, and only a 30min walk into Times Square, where we had friends staying. Transport was easy... More

What more can I say, but we wouldn't stay anywhere else! We stayed in May for my friend's birthday and booked the 1-bedroom apartment upstairs. It was spotless and had everything we wanted. A home away from home. Karen and Paul were amazing hosts and they made you felt totally at home. The location is amazing, amazing restaurants only 5... More

We stayed in this wonderful apartment July 2014 for one week with our two teens ages 13 and 15. Wonderful neighbourhood only 3 blocks from subway. Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
