Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.

My husband and I spent 5 nights in NYC and found this amazing studio apartment in the heart of Chelsea. Where to start? The apartment was perfect: great king sized bed, fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom with fluffy towels, cozy and welcoming. Location: although we ventured

My husband and I stayed in the basement apartment for 3 weeks in October of this year. It was a business trip for him and a pleasure trip for me. The apartment was quiet and a bit cave-like (it is a basement apartment in a brownstone, after all-- you can't expect it to be bathed

Hello. We are planning a trip to NY in October 2017, bringing a friend with us. We have visited a few times before and always stay in an apartment. We'd like to do the same. We need a 2-bedroom apartment, but we would want to share the living room/kitchen facilities. Could you accommodate us. Thank you. House looks gorgeous and we love Chelsea neighbourhood !
Dear Sue, Thank you for your interest in A Garden in Chelsea an d your kind comments. We have two different apartment. The one featured on the web is a one room, studio, apartment. It can accommodate three people but you are all together and one is on a roll-away. We also have a large, sunny one bedroom apartment in the same building. It is completely separate and private. The apartment has a living room, flat-screen HD TV, wifi, kitchen with dishwasher, and bathroom with double sinks. The bedroom has a queen-size bed, there’s a very comfortable queen sofa-bed in the living room. The apartment is on the third floor, though there are only two flights of stairs. Like the B&B it is non-smoking. I can send photos of this apartment if it is of interest. Let me know if you have any questions. All the best, Karen Jacob A Garden in Chelsea 212. 243. 8621 917. 443. 1923

What is the nightly price in June?
Our rates are seasonal, based on double occupancy. For the studio apartment, featured on the web, the rates range from $250-$350/night. Our larger one bedroom apartment ranges from $300-$400/night.

Is there parking?
Just on the street but it always seemed to be full. The street is one way so there was parking on both sides.

Hi many thanks for coming back to me so quickly. Planning our trip to New York in September/October dates in the city would be 3.10.15 to 9.10.15 and may I ask you can you accomodate 3 people in 1 apartment being my husband, myself and our youngest son who is 16, just checking if this is possible. Thank you Corinne
The owner says she has had up to 5 downstairs before but that would be very squashed. I believe that the upstairs apartment is much bigger and has a separate bedroom which would be better perhaps. Either way would be fine.
