Hotel's Favorite
This is the type of experience money can’t buy. It is worth every penny, and even more. It is an experience that is out of this world! I have a younger brother with Autism Spectrum Disorder who is mostly nonverbal, and the staff went out of their way to attend to his every wants and needs, interact with him, and make him feel special. This right here is the reason why my family and I will be coming back as often as we can.

Lovely afternoon tea at the Plaza for our 20 year anniversary. Fariz was our waiter and was was excellent and the food was lovely. Just the right amount served. Would recommend to anyone looking to do something a little different whilst in New York.

I arrived solo to celebrate an early Birthday while holidaying in the big apple. Decided to treat myself to this amazing, reputable hotel. Room was splendid, 18th floor, loved the finishings and style, huge shower and tub and hot water! Exemplary service from each and every person I spoke with or who assisted. 5 star all around there for kindness. I'll admit the meals are way overpriced for what you get. At least stand out if you're going to offer same food other restaurants have and charge triple for them... Like a lobster roll with French fries... Came out warm instead of hot, fries were mediocre. Then a ceasar salad was $65 delivered to my room. They charge $10 just for delivery then you feel obligated to give a tip... For a salad, without meat, and buns that were hard and stale! So besides that, still glowing with excitement, and everything was super perfect until later at night when I'd paid 21 for a movie and was in the last 30 min when I started to smell smoke... Well pot to be exact. I thought I could handle it but I noticed a fancy sign stating that it's a non smoking hotel and anyone caught would be fined 1500. So I called the front desk.. I was devastated as I couldn't handle it as it makes me so sick and I'm allergic and get sore throats right away from it... Took about an hour in total to have someone come investigate, confirm I wasnt out of my mind, and then move me to a new room. Lower floor, still no view, but a suite which was of no use to me since I had to check out early in the morning. So I had to pack everything up and couldn't go anywhere as it was late and I was already dressed for bed so had to stick it out until they moved me. Then had to unpack everything again and made me go to bed much later than I wanted to. Just really unfortunate for my only night there... And what didn't sit overly well with me is that upon check out, they never did anything else to make up for the inconvenience it caused... At any other hotel, fine, but at a Fairmont, at that price I have to work hard for to afford... Just disappointing. But I know it wasn't their fault and the staff did the best they could, I guess I had just hoped they would have gone above and beyond, especially cause now I'm sick 🤮. I'd of course still recommend the hotel though! …
