This hotel is spectacular. When you enter the hotel, the fresh smell of Lillie’s is unforgettable. The staff is present but not intrusive. Would recommend visiting the champagne bar and asking for Alam. Order the Billecart-Salmon Rose!
A week end in Manhattan in an iconic hotel, with fine dining, spa indulgences, and all the culture and shopping the greatest city in the world has to offer. Easy access to 5th Avenue shopping, Central Park, dining options and museums.

Shalim attended to every detail to make our visit exceptional. We had some food allergies and he made modifications to ensure our safety. He also read the note in the reservation regarding my daughter’s upcoming 16th birthday. They sang and presented her with a signature box of chocolates. Stanley was also wonderful and answered all of our questions about the hotel. We will definitely come back. Thank you Shalim and Stanley for a wonderful experience!
The hotel charges a $60 surcharge per day that is not displayed into the headline nightly rate, even though you must pay it per day (therefore, it's borderline fraud that it's not calculated into the rate you are shown on booking, but instead buried into notes). Of this daily surcharge, the hotel gives you a $50 per day on a use-it-or-lose-it basis. There's no way of getting out of this fee, but it isn't shown to you in the nightly rate. Unfair business practice operating at the Plaza. The fee has been in place since 2018 and as you can see from reviews, it's deeply onpopular.
We had a wonderful time and the service was impeccable. Truly a bucket list experience. Nice to slow down and sip tea, eat treats and enjoy the ambiance with my teen. Lovely opportunity to dress up, enjoy a quiet moment together and enjoy the beauty of this historic place. The food was delicious, simply phenomenal pastries, and the services was flawless. Thank you to Kabir Ahmed - our server.
We finally got in for high tea after trying so many times and the scarcity of reservations probably served to boost our expectations too high. The room, while beautiful, has very tight seating which is a little alarming during a pandemic. The tightness of seating, large volume of people, and acoustics, makes for a very loud and harried experience which really runs cross-purpose of a high tea. Another simply shocking element is the fact that the restrooms are located on the floor above and the women’s room has only two stalls which creates a long line of frustrated women waiting outside and occasionally commandeering the Men’s room. The tea was good and the sandwiches and sweets were average.
Dream come true experience from start to finish. The Plaza staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. This was my families first visit to New York City and it was an all around unforgettable experience. We will definitely be staying here, should we visit NY again!
We had a wonderful time at afternoon tea. Shalim Khan took wonderful care of us. He was patient and also brought a out a birthday surprise. It was our first time and we will definitely be back! Thank you!
The hotel is AMAZING! Inside and outside, a real gem! The people at the reception are really helpful and nice, the housekeeping are one of a kind - the best people I ever met in my life, the spa personnel happy and calm - just as you would …
