We previously stayed in this hotel while visiting my son at NYU and I loved it. For his graduation, we returned with my daughter. Our flight from Atlanta was delayed four times then cancelled - we had no choice but to drive due to multiple circumstances. This meant we missed our first night at the hotel. We had called several times to stay in touch with the hotel, and they were so helpful each time. When I returned home, they did not even charge us for the first night when we weren't there. As a business owner myself, I never expected them to do this for us, nor did we ask. I called the manager Kin today and he was so kind and generous. As a side note, our room was set up as we asked (needed the daybed option) and was the perfect space for us as parents and our young adult daughter - we all had separate space. I *love* the Ludlow. Will definitely be back!…
Stayed here last week in a terrace view room. Staff were great and rooms ok albeit a bit small. Paid for a terrace room but terrace overgrown and covered in old cigarette butts. Dont know if they had'nt been cleaned up from previous guest or whether they had been dropped out of one of the rooms above us. Front desk also put a hold for over $2000 on my card at check in and then charged me again at checkout for our actual spend. 8 days later im still trying to get the first $2k released back to my account. Would we stay here again? Its a nice hotel in a good location but overpriced for the terrace room so probably not and issue with hold on my card left bitter taste.
This was our second visit to the Ludlow, and it was terrific again. Nice room, on the small side but what we expect in a city hotel. Bathroom was very clean and nice toiletries. Great lounge area and friendly staff. Lots of fun restaurants nearby.
I stay here whenever I travel to NYC. This is such a perfect New York hotel. Feels boutique, but has all the needed amenities. Staff is considerate, helpful and they have the right amount of presence. They were always providing little extra touches: Putting a package in my room when I was out at a conference; sending candies up to welcome me to the hotel; and placing extra toiletries in the bath when housekeeping serviced the room. The Ludlow is well located so you can walk to all kinds of perfect spots. Lively neighborhood, but rooms are soundproofed. Very small gym, but it's on the roof so it's light and bright--a great way to work out at the beginning of the day. I cannot say enough about this special spot. Love, love, love.
The Ludlow is truly the best hotel I've stayed in during trips to NYC. It's in a great neighborhood with easy access to the subway, airports, and countless bars & restaurants. The staff is kind and accommodating. The rooms are so incredibly spacious for NYC and have endless thoughtful touches. Comfortable beds, beautiful linens, and great room service. Truly cannot recommend The Ludlow enough!
I have been staying at this hotel since I moved away from NYC a few years ago. There are so many reasons to love this property not the least of which are the service and hospitality. From the front door and front desk team to the restaurant staff and housekeepers - everyone goes above and beyond to take care of everything that I need. I typically stay for a combination of business and pleasure and the couches by the fireplace are perfect for both types of meetings. The food at Dirty French is always delicious. And those rooms with the outdoor terraces OMG. Incredible.
This charming hotel, was very clean, staff was excelant always happy to help. Rooms, linens where soft and bed super comfty. could of used a few more pillows...but didnt ask for them. Everyonewas very friendly and willing to help.
Loved my stay at the Ludlow. Comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom fixtures, cool vibe in the lobby, close to cool shops and the Essex Market. The perfect pastrami sandwich across the street at Katz's deli. What more could you ask for?
From the lobby and wonderful reception to the welcoming living room with a warm fireplace and beautiful bar-to the beautiful quiet room with beautiful linens and a most comfortable bed, The Ludlow far surpassed my expectations! The deep soaking bath tub and beautiful bathroom were spa like! I love the Ludlow, great location, amazing staff , a perfect stay!! Thank you!!!!
From the moment we arrived, I knew I'd made the right choice for our anniversary staycation. The desk staff was friendly and greeted us warmly. We splurged on the skyloft box suite and were delighted to find it as picturesque as we anticipated. The sunlight and fresh breeze, both from the windows which actually opened and the lovely balcony, brought a bit of the lovely spring day into the suite. And the soaking tub! I may not be exaggerating when I say we spent hours enjoying it. There was also a very well-stocked minibar area (reasonably priced even) which came in handy when we'd the late night munchies. Add to this the excellent customer service (buckets of ice and extra coffee were promptly delivered with a smile and a small mix-up with room service remedied with apology) and we would definitely highly recommend! I'll note that the lounge area downstairs looked inviting, too, and Dirty French (the connected restaurant) is always fun and delish. All around 5 stars.…
