#169 of 531 hotels in New York City
Evoking the feeling, spirit, and spontaneity of the world's most storied metropolis, The Marmara Park Avenue is New York City, inside and out. Occupying a richly historied 21-story building that dates back to 1927, The Marmara Park Avenue is an up-and-coming landmark defined by a subtle elegance that uplifts the ordinary. Pairing impeccable style with unmitigated comfort, The Marmara Park Avenue honors New York City's history while constantly evolving the very meaning of hospitality. The Marmara Park Avenue is your home in Manhattan, made in New York. The nuances that define us are influenced by, designed in, and sourced from the city itself. Just as you are inspired by New York City, so are we. The Marmara is proud to work with local artisans and craftspeople who have fabricated some of our building's most eye-catching elements right here in New York City. Being at home in New York City means having a place you can call your own. Tranquil, tailored, and polished, The Marmara Park Avenue provides you a refuge from the noise, pace, and pressures of the city that never sleeps. Openness and understated glamour are part of the building's DNA, harkening back to the days when it housed design and architecture studios. Each of the 128 suites and guest rooms, including three penthouses, boast vast, spacious ceilings that capitalize on the location's natural light, providing uninterrupted and unparalleled views of the New York skyline. Inside, the rooms feature massive guest beds topped with mountains of pillows, wetbars/fully-equipped kitchens, stainless steel appliances, and hardwood floors. And you don't even have to leave the hotel to step into the city: 40 suites come equipped with private terraces.

200% doesn't up-live to a 5 star hotel! 16 January 2022 I came back to the hotelroom in the afternoon after roomservice did their job, only to find BLOOD in my 'changed' blankets?? I called the concierge with the issue and he sent the cleaners to the room. They came in raising their voice towards me and denying it was them and that it was unbelievable. They took the initiative to call their manager who came in later to hear their and my story. The manager apologised. At that point I accepted the apology but what pissed me off later was that I overheard them talking in the hallway, them saying 'it wasn't them' and that it very probably was ME having had invited people over to the hotel room (which I didnt) or it was my blood?? The Hell? I pay for a 5 star hotel, only to discover blood on my blankets (100% wasn't mine), to have gotten a raised voice at, to be fake apologised for and to be accused for a crime I didn't commit? Didn't even get an compensation or anything. No way in hell I'm recommending this hotel to anyone or I will ever go back there. Disgusting and Trash treatment by cleaning staff. (reception ppl and such were nice tho).

This past year, we've stayed in quite a number of hotels in the city since we moved out to Long Island. We booked the Marmara Park Avenue simply for the convenience to our NYE countdown dinner at Eleven Madison Park. And boy, I wish I had known about this place sooner because we're definitely coming back again. Our room had an unblocked view and a small kitchen that was sufficient for a longer staycation, super cozy! The location was wonderful as well. It's right next to the day spa I go to and it's within walking distance to our workplace and K-town for a late-night supper.

Hotel looks grand, the lobster roll is absolutely delicious, actually the food is good! great location, the bar staff were also pretty helpful. the loft is huge, definitely a lot of space but poorly utilized - dont understand why in NY the toilets are inside the bathroom....there is enough space in the room to separate the toilet...the bath itself needs modernising, very much 1980s style. kitchen was really modern in the loft. Plenty of working space., chargers and USB ports. Receptionist have to go on training, the Hotel Customer service Director definitely needs more guidance herself on how to stay in touch with her staff and reach back to the guest! for a 5 star hotel , the least they could do is to provide a complimentary water bottle but even that was restricted to 2 bottles on the day of arrival and then you got to buy it at the restaurant or drink from the tap for the remaining days - very very stingy... I honestly didn't have the right experience during my 3 night stay to recommend this place to colleagues or friends, didn't use the pool or any amenities, was put off by the mere fact that I personally had to chase the director and staff for their own mistake..... Will definitely avoid this place for the near future, might just go in to the restaurant and get a lobster roll but will surely wont be staying in there.

Thank you for you review! As per our conversation I corrected the issue and promptly provided a refund prior to check-out. It is unfortunate that you were unable to visit us in the wellness center as we feel this would have highly elevated your overall perception but relieved to read that you acknowledge that you therefore did not have the right experience. I am tremendously happy to read that you enjoyed our lobster roll and we look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy more of those on your next visit to New York.

Superior service and positive guest experiences--the kind that make folks return and recommend the property to friends--never happen by accident. It's the result of hiring the right people with the right mindset and skill set and them train, train, training them. The entire Marmara staff came together to make our recent two-day weekend stay a most enjoyable one. The welcoming front desk staff, the attentive waitress and a behind-the-scenes accomplished chef, the friendly bellmen and the efficient housekeeping staff all made us feel welcome and appreciated. And not to be remiss, a special shoutout to front desk manager Herdi for repeatedly going out into the rain to hail down taxis for us. Well done, Marmara, we'll be back!

What a lovely hotel! Great central location, subway (line 6) a stones throw away. The room was lovely, large and with a great view of the Empire State Building. The staff were exceptional! They really went above and beyond, from helping helping us in and out, assisting us get PCR when Uk Gov changed the rules, to helping us celebrate our special birthday with Prosecco and cheese. (Kasja was wonderful) I would definitely recommend the Marmara and stay again if I’m New York x
