Very nice hotel, but does have the typical small Manhattan rooms. Clean and well appointed, it's in a great location with short walks to everywhere.. The best, throw the pie in the air pizza place is right across the street and a really good Italian restaurant (not in the magazines) is right around the corner.

I spent 3 nights with my family at The William. This hotel has a small shared entrance with a bar and a restaurant. There is no lobby and no place to stay downstairs as the bar and the restaurant are third party operated and do not offer any benefits for the hotel guests. Sometimes you have to avoid the people...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights for a weekend getaway in New York city. This location is fantastic, just a couple of blocks from Bryant Park, and surrounded by restaurants and easy access to public transportation. It is definitely a boutique hotel - there is a small lobby, but always attended. There is also a lounge, a...

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was absence of room service. Everything else was great. Room and bathroom small, but clean and bright. Staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. I wasn't sure I had time for the take-out breakfast they offer from a nearby diner, so the front desk staff called ahead to see how...

This room was more expensive than 5 star room we had in New York. The reason was the big terrace as I as a smoker really like. They had Amazon echo dot installed, Netflix and everything was great. Great bed and during the evening the bar and restaurant was full. There is no breakfast at the hotel but it can...

This was an amazing little hotel on e39th street. great location and probably one of the most spacious rooms I've stayed in (not sure if they all are, but it was huge). The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the rooms was quiet and clean and beautifully fitted out complete with a stylish kitchenette; free cable tv, high end...

This place is a 2-block walk to Grand Central, has a restaurant on the 1st floor with a luxury bar and live music. Rooms are tucked away in the back, so it's very quiet. I've stayed here 2x - once had one of the suites, which was amazing and once in a standard room, which was still large. High end...

It was an excellent hotel to stay in would definitely recommend. Only problem the strong cent of cigarettes in the bathroom and rooms. My family who stayed in the room on the next floor had the same opinion.

The best thing about The William is the location - on 39th between Madison and Park. Very nice neighbourhood and I felt very safe walking around at night. A short walk to the nearest metro station at Grand Central and the NYCAirporter set down/pick up points made it super convenient. A slightly longer walk will get you to Times Square...

We ended up getting the Studio room with a Queen bed, sofa, two chairs, a dining table with two chairs, a desk and a chair, a kitchenette, a bathroom, and two closets. Needless to say, we had plenty of space for the two of us. Honestly, there was enough room for a child if they didn't mind sleeping on the...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
