Really nice girls at front desk. Awesome views. Cool spot! These pics were taken from room 608, family suite. Great location in Chinatown. We normally stay at Hotel 17 but are really glad we found Leon.

As long as you don't set your expectations too high - this place delivers. Room is spacious and relatively modern by NYC standards. The staff are helpful and professional. Keep in mind that the location is in the middle of Chinatown and don't expect any amenities like a gym or breakfast. If those meet your needs then this hotel does...

4 adult 1 baby 1 toddler. We stayed in room 508 (deluxe loft suite). Room's modern, clean and spacious with great view. Cleaning service did super job every single day of our 5nights stay! The front desk super friendly and very helpful! Note: Samantha is awesome! Easy access (nearest subway station is within 10 minutes walking distance)

We had a great stay at the Leon with our three teenagers. This hotel is a great option for Chinatown/LES. First, about the hotel. Great reception/check-in. Rooms are clean and well-maintained. Bathrooms modern. Housekeeping does a great job. We stayed in the Family Suite on the 6th floor -- this is the large room with 2 full-size beds and a...

There's nothing like a family vacation! We know how tough it can be with three teenagers, so we're glad that the family suite had enough space for all of you to stay comfortable. We're sorry to hear you had some trouble getting in at first, but we're glad that things were great after that. As for the location, you're right...

Our room was clean, huge by New York standards and pleasantly quiet. We were on the 2nd floor, facing the street and heard little to no noise. Also, this hotel had possibly the best air conditioning that I've ever experienced during a hotel stay.

The summer heat in NYC was tough so going back to the hotel was a respite from the heat. The AC was great. The room was quiet and clean. The downside was that the room had no refrigerator and the ice and potable filtered water was in the basement. This could be challenging due to only one slow moving elevator....

It's been a hot summer, Lisa, so we're happy we could be a nice cool place for you to rest. We're sorry that we're not able to have full room service, as we don't have room for a kitchen or restaurant, but we hope that everything was comfortable otherwise, and we'd love to have you back again on another visit....

Thank goodness for room a/c! 5 night stay, and pleasantly surprised! I have stayed at a number of different places during my visits to NYC and must say this was one of the biggest rooms I've stayed in. Comfortable king bed, nice bathroom, clean! My room overlooked the park so was quite nice. Being on a busy street it was...

As a family traveling with 5 people (2 adults, 2 grown kids and one 12-year-old), it was difficult finding a quality hotel in NYC that was affordable and could actually accommodate all of us comfortably. We came across The Leon Hotel through this site and others and decided to put our faith in the other positive reviews. Are we ever...

Super friendly staff recordable priced close to all the China Town eateries - it was perfect for us. Wifi was fast, we felt secure and the view was great from the 3rd floor looking towards the arch and downtown

What a great spot! Behind the tiny little hotel storefront hides a perfect little gem of a hotel. Could not be happier. I've been searching for a place like this out of the midtown norm and I found it! Oh, the interior. It's great! Very mod and super comfortable. Exceptional desk help. Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
