I love staying here, even though I live in NY. Cozying up in one of the rooms, down at the bar finding the perfect martini or ordering room service. It's always a pleasure, the staff is always friendly and the food and drinks always on point! Especially during COVID it has been a life saver to be able to get away and out of my own 4 walls and enjoy the luxury of good service and friendly faces. Cannot wait for next time.

it is like a 3- star hotel, but more expensive than a 5-star hotel. Not worthy it at all. OMG, I can't believe that I lived in the worst hotel ever. I was super disappointed with their rooms and services.

I really do want to try other NYC hotels, but I come back to the Bowery every time because I know that the service will be impeccable, and that my room will be unique and charming. Room service from Gemma is a cherry on top.

While their social media presence is strong this hotel fell short of expectations. This hotel is supposedly 5 stars but is outdated and in dire need of repairs if not a full renovation. It is simply not acceptable for there to be a mold type substance on the ceiling, worn sheets and finishes missing from the bathroom fixtures. I have stayed in airport hotels that are better maintained. The hotel also boasts its Covid measures yet they allowed partying on a random Wednesday night in the middle of a pandemic when people are trying to sleep but have taken away what would have been 5 star services like 24 hour room service and nightly turndown. After assisting my mom with a surgery all day and needing some sleep before a full day of work, I expected a comfortable bed and some peace and quiet. The bed was average at best and the sheets were horrible- too stiff and starchy. The walls are paper thin and windows are not sound proofed. This hotel seems more of a wedding venue and is certainly not suited for the business traveler. Very disappointed.

A buzzy hotel in a great area. Near a number of subway stations, a short walk to the trendy West Village and a short walk to Union Sq and beyond. The famous Katz Deli (see my separate review) good for breakfast is nearby. We had a corner room - junior suite - which while not big was a decent size. Shower room no bath - again on the small size. The room and the public rooms are furnished in a dark wood ‘club’ style which some may find overpowering and old fashioned - in the winter when we stayed it felt cosy but in the summer might be too much. The room had everything you would need except for tea / coffee making facilities - most hotels of this standard now have Nespresso machines and comp coffee / tea. A large bottle of water provided each day - glass bottle good - but not hotel filtered (green footprint). The bathroom while small had a decent size shower - but little room to store wash bags and own toiletries- there was a good supply of hotel toiletries - in larger recycled plastic containers with products made of 90% + natural products. The shower was a bit slippery but the old trick with a hand towel to stand on worked perfectly. Evening turn down service and bed time cookies. Italian style restaurant connected next door. Large bar - with fires - had a nice night-time atmosphere but are a bit dark during the day. Friendly helpful staff - including attentive door staff.
