We stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn on Christmas Eve. The hotel is clean, quiet and conveniently located near all Tribeca's offerings. We celebrated the holiday with drinks and dinner and were able to walk everywhere. The room was fairly small, but very comfortable. We do Christmas Eve in NY every year and have stayed at other, more expensive hotels....

This hotel felt more like a boutique hotel than a chain. There was always coffee and tea available in the lobby, and snacks in the evening. The location was ideal for exploring Soho, the Village, Little Italy and was less than a block from the A,C,E train. Across the board, The staff was very courteous and friendly, and the room...

Lobby is antiquated. One elevator wasn't working. Other was very slow. "Upgraded" room is average/below average. Beds are terribly uncomfortable. Worst I've experienced. We cancelled our reservation within 15 mins of being in the room.

THis hotel is in the heart of TriBeCa, right on the A and C subway lines. We found this an easy place to get to anywhere we wanted to go. Lots of restaurants in the area. We felt very safe walking around.

This was my third stay at this hotel since they opened so I was impressed when the friendly front desk staff welcomed me back. I noticed that they had already done some of the refurbishing of the public areas but the rooms still looked new. The location was perfect for my time spent in Tribeca and Soho across Canal Street....

I've been to NY a few times and stayed in various different areas but decided that this hotel would be a good spot - close to TriBeCa, SoHo, West Village, Downtown and not far from Greenwich, Meatpackers, etc. Great choice! Arrived at 11.15pm and went about 2 minutes away to a really cool bar (Another Room). It was my husband's...

Having stayed here a couple times, I have to say I really like this hotel. The location is very convenient to the subway with the A,C, E right out the door and the 1 and R trains a very short walk. The neighborhood is great for shopping, bars and food so there's little need to travel far. The hotel staff...

We called on our way into the City and asked if there was anyway to get connecting rooms. The gentleman who answered said he couldn't guarantee until check in but would do everything possible to accommodate the request. We arrived within a hour and sure enough, he found to side by side rooms. We were very happy with the rooms....

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
