I absolutely love staying at The London! I don't care for being in the middle of Times Square, and this location is just far enough north to make it a great- and quiet location. The all-suites rooms are one of the main reasons staying here is so lovely- New York hotel rooms are typically very small, so it is nice...

We've stayed several times at The London. Usually one of the pricier establishments, but I've usually reserved at "reasonable" rates during seasonal sales. The rest of Manhattan seems to have caught up as well with their charges. Friendly staff. Check in easy. Registration staff eager to help. Nice bar and restaurant. Suite style rooms. Modern style. Comfortable layout. Good showers....

I think when it comes to NYC it's mostly about location and room comfort, and the London excels in both. It's perfectly located between Times Square and Central Park. You get the advantage of being close to the action but not inside it. The surrounding is full of places to grab coffee or quick breakfast, also the dining options are...

This hotel needs an overhaul and refurb. The rooms are a good size but tired and out of date. Facilities were fairly non-existent - no tea/coffee facilities in the room, no cups or spoons - I had to ask but it took a few goes to get something. The bar was expensive and average - not great atmosphere and food...

Not sure why reviews were less than above average for this hotel. I have stayed at the LA London as well and found the NYC location to be very nice. The rooms are excellent and way above average for a NYC hotel room - trust me I've stayed in many. I thought the lobby, views, service and cleanliness were very...

The London is a good hotel in a convenient location. Good design and excellent service. That said, the hotel needs refreshing. Lots of scratches and chips in furniture, carpet is torn at entry to bath and missing tiles in bath. I stayed on 25th floor and it was very quiet. My non-smoking room was getting some smoke odors-- maybe a...

The London was a great choice for our annual spring break trip with teenage grandchildren. Our American Express package included a generous breakfast buffet, free wi-fi, late checkout -- 4 pm, and two adjacent suites, one with twin beds for the teens. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed -- fine bed linens, good pillows. All staff were friendly and accomodating,...

The best thing about The London is that it's near everything: Broadway, MOMA, high-end shopping, the business district, etc., which makes it a perfect launching pad for a business or pleasure trip to NYC. The worst part about the London is its restaurant/bar. The guest rooms were nicely upscale -- all decent-sized suites -- high-end but not over the top...

This hotel is so different than any hotel I have ever stayed at in NYC and it is all great! I have been traveling to New York City for more than 40 years for business. I have stayed in more hotels than I can remember. Some I will never forget because of lack of service, staff and so on. The...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
