Beautiful property in Soho. Clean, new room with view of water (a little obstructed). So many restaurants and cafes nearby. A block from the west side Espalanade for a walk or run along the water. 20 min walk to the Whitney, Highline, Chelsea market. Super-friendly and accommodating staff. Gigi at the front desk was wonderful. Incredible rooftop bar. Delicious breakfast too.
I stayed the weekend at Hotel Hugo and had the most incredible experience. We were greeted at the front desk by Gigi Supapo and she was extremely warm and helpful. She gave great suggestions for how to make the most of our stay at the hotel and how to navigate the area. So grateful for the professional and generous service she provided that made for one of my favorite trips to the City!
I love this hotel - location, staff, rooms and overall experience are consistently great. I travel for a living and I always find a home here. Thanks to Gigi and Lala for making my stay extra special this time, see you soon! - HH
This was the worst experience we have had in any hotel. We booked as had great things about the rooftop bar, before arriving we tried to book and was told to book when we arrived that it wouldn't be an issue. When arriving for our stay the rooftop bar was closed for the season!! The staff were extremely rude, not even looking up from the desk when we arrived to greet us. We were an inconvenience to them it seemed. The room was tiny with a view of a ups building. It smelt, there was luke warm water in the shower and the room was dirty. Extremely unimpressed, we went to ask if there was another room we could have a look at and we were told even with the issues with our room that we would need to pay to upgrade! I would recommend everyone stays away from this hotel. We paid a lot of money per night for a disgusting room and terrible stay. We were that unhappy that we stayed out of the room from the minute we woke up until the minute we went to bed as we could not stand being there. Don't do it to yourself - you will regret it if you stay here!…
I wanted to have a stay that was close to restaurants and site seeing, but away from the heavy traffic flow and loudness at night. This was just perfect! The room, bed with the fluffy pillows and shower pressure were all amazing! What also makes this such a niche place is the hospitality. The front desk, security and housekeeping were all so kind and welcoming. Gigi, the beauty at the front desk, is so informative on the city and directions. She was very kind and helpful in every way! Can’t wait to come back not just to visit NYC, but this wonderful hidden gem!
We came for a first time Staycation since our son was born and it surpassed my expectations! We dealt mainly with Gigi at the front desk who was not only kind and hospitable BUT she helped facilitate the delivery of a special dress from a local store for an evening out. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view and best of all QUIET! We can’t wait to come again
Disappointing is an understatement. Stayed in the city to minimize my commute over a 2 day offsite (I live about an hour outside the city) and now I wished I picked somewhere else to stay. The bare minimum a hotel should provide is a 1) comfortable bed to sleep on, 2) a hot shower, and 3) a clean space. They got 1 out of 3...it was clean thankfully. The bed had very notable and large springs; when I laid down I actually thought I laid on something but it was just the springs in the mattress pushing through and not just one spring, all of them. Awful. Fast forward to the next morning and there was (at best!) room temperature water in the shower, despite running it for a long time thinking it just needed time to heat up. I called the front desk, they apologized and said they'd look into it so I took the fastest shower possible. But same thing on day 2. It's a total no frills place, no bellhop or true concierge but I would have been fine had the basics been provided. I will say that despite it being right across the street from a main UPS depot (dozens of trucks), it was quiet so that was a positive. But I won't stay here again and it's a shame since I'll be staying in the city occasionally for work. It looks cute and had potential.…
We have stayed at Hotel Hugo several times over the past few years, and always have a great experience. Quality hotel in an excellent location - also a fun bar with great views on rooftop. Anthony provided us with great customer service!
This was the second time I stayed here and both times GiGi helped me at the front desk. She was wonderful, very kind and super helpful. She provided AMAZING customer service! Would definitely stay a third time!
This hotel is lovely-from The lush entry to the petite rooftop, hotel Hugo Is now a new favorite in NYC. Especially due to the incredibly warm and friendly hospitality offered by Gigi. She made the stay so welcoming.
