The location of this hotel was great to explore Lower Manhattan by foot and further afield by the Subway (Spring Street or Canal Street) or Citibikes (at Hudson River Park). Although the adjacent building is being refurbished, we did not encounter any noise and had no effect on our stay. The rooftop bar with its spectacular views was a bonus - the cocktail prices matched the views. We did not eat at the hotel as there were many choices in the surrounding streets, the coffee making facilities in the room more than adequate for our purposes. The staff were friendly and courteous with all queries and requests dealt with promptly. We wouldn't hesitate in staying at Hotel Hugo again.

Stayed for 5 nights during July 4 celebrations. The front desk was friendly and efficient. The hotel is stylish but very comfortable. The fair sized room is tastefully decorated and clean. Rooftop bar is very active and fun with lovely views. Upper rooms have nicer views but lower rooms have better water pressure. Overall a great spot in a changing neighbourhood with easy access to SoHo, Tribeca and The village. We got very good value.

A decent location, walking distance from subway, Soho, the village and lower Manhattan, plus the great park along the Hudson. The rooms are not large but nicely appointed. The rooftop bar is fabulous; lively, awesome view and great cocktails. Jose the bellman was helpful everyday. It’s nice to travel and be well looked after. We will go back.

Rooms - plumbing problems: reported issues with no assistance. Major Security Issues - staff members entering room at odd times and sheepishly saying 'wrong room' when they realised guests were actually in the room. Management - completely ignore your feedback or have clearly heard it all before as they are not surprised in the slightest when you tell them people have been trying to get into your room or that you were told to 'F@$% off from roof top bar' by 25 year olds as 'friends of the owner'.....paying guests not welcome in roof top bar. Concierge - told they are not able to book cab/taxi for you. So unwelcoming and would advise never to stay at this establishment. We had travelled from Australia and had the best time at Hotel Gregory midtown and wished we had of stayed their the entire time instead of moving to this hotel for 3 night stay. Please do not stay here if you are over 25 years of age as you will be bitterly disappointed.
