This is a lovely little get-away hotel, with chic, perfectly appointed, albeit petite, rooms, clean and thoroughly modern bathrooms with great shower heads and hands-down the best robe I've ever had. Luxuriously comfortable king size beds that you have to step around, given the size of the rooms, but who cares if you sink down into the best sleep you've... More

I do love this hotel. It's on a great block in Tribeca between West Broadway and Church Street, close to some great restaurants; the Tribeca Grill, Landmarc, Pecan Cafe, Bubble Lounge...not to mention the fabulous restaurant in the lobby of this one, Metaphor (which is temporarily closed for an overhaul I'm told). The hotel is a boutique hotel in every... More

i'Ve been herefor a long weekend with my gf and the hotel is in a great location, conveniently located for all the tribeca and soho amenities. the room was not particularly big but the staff has been very good and helpful. the restaurant was under refurbishment when we went so i cannot comment on this point, but it's definitely recommended... On behalf of the Duane Street Hotel, we are truly glad you enjoyed your stay with us and got to experience the rich culture of Tribeca. We do apologize for the restaurant being closed. As a long island native I have had my fair share of visits to New York City. My boyfriend of 6 years and I have spent many a night enjoying ourselves and this is the first time we stayed at The Duane Street Hotel. Friday afternoon we decided to splurge and have a city date night. I scoured the internet... More

The Duane Street Hotel is a little gem of a hotel - great location, staff very friendly, especially the girl on the front desk.....the tiniest front desk ever, tucked under the stairs! But I liked it, in keeping with the diminutive and charming style. The elevator had a lovely floral smell, I don't think it was a previous guest's perfume,... More

Loved staying in a quiet spot in Tribeca with easy access to all of Manhattan. The staff were fabulous and helpful as well as discreet when I asked for assistance with something. The room was fine, bed comfy and sizeable by NY standards with a lovely large corner aspect and city view through floor to ceiling windows. It was well... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and found the front desk staff incredibly helpful and polite. The room was twin but incredibly small. The bathroom was well appointed as was the bedroom. The street noise is quite loud but New York always is. Pleasant hotel that was nice to stay in. Cleaners should probably check with front desk on the... More

My husband and 2 older daughters loved this hotel. It has a fantastic location, as we walked to many sights. The front staff bend over backwards to be helpful. They are the most friendly hotel front desk staff that I have ever encountered. The rooms are small but very clean and updated with the most comfortable beds. I would not... More

Stayed two nights at the DSH. Staff are friendly though not overly knowledgeable in respect to local restaurants and places of interest. Rooms are modern, small, very clean, and minimalistic with everything one needs - excellent internet, modern bathroom, fluffy towels and robe, good appliance connectivity and very comfortable bed. On issue is why take up so much space in... More

Nothing worse than flying all night and getting to your hotel and the person at the front desk seems to be locked out of the computer and she can't get you into your room. Worse, she said "well, tonight's my first night here so...." Meaning this was her first time running the front desk and the entire hotel. No manager... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
