The first thing you notice at the Duane Street Hotel is that the staff treats everyone - including first time visitors - with a genuine warmth. Check in and check out are very fast. The hotel is surrounded by excellent restaurants and close to a number of attractions, to include the World Trade Center. Rooms are small, but more than... More

Great location with friendly staff. The Duane has everything you need for a NYC stay in a quaint, boutique hotel. Tribecca is a perfect location to enjoy great restaurants and be close to many attractions without being in the hustle of Times Square.

Overall the experience was great. Comfortable and peaceful stay! We were upgraded to the Executive King room for free. We would not have been able to open our several suitcases in the Superior Queen Room (original reservation.) If you are traveling with more than one large suitcase, call for one of the bigger rooms. The price averaged $170/night, 5 nights,... More

Excellent lobby staff! Great location! While small, the room was well-appointed. Soft robes provided are to die for and free wifi is a big plus in NYC. Initially when booking, I thought there were soaking tubs in all rooms but learned from other reviewers this was not to be the case. Rain shower is a nice aesthetic but a traditional... More

Dear Marlenefer, I'm really dissapointed to hear of your experience @ the Duane Street Hotel. We did have a change in property management last year; but more importantly, recently a major investment was made in our property. The lobby, lounge, bar and restaurant were renovated and the change/upgrade is so obvious as soon as you arrive and/or relax at the... More

We stayed here one night for the wife to take a two day course at Pace. I got to the property in the morning and was able to drop off a suitcase. I came back after three to check-in and my room was ready. I took the elevator to our floor and the room was right there. It had hardwood... More

Great value and clean, updated and good sized room for the NYC. Contemporary aesthetic, brown leather studded headboard and pale Scandinavian desk/shelves/wardrobe on opposite wall. Single serve Keurig with free coffee and tea cups in room. Tall ceiling in room made it feel more spacious. King size bed very comfortable. Had a roll in shower so rubber lip for shower... More

Trim, neat, stylish and well managed property. Quiet. Rooms are small (welcome to NY) but have 11-12 foot ceilings, which makes for an airy and open space. Comfortable beds. Well appointed bathrooms. Lobby is especially attractive. Friendly and engaging staff. Easy walking distance to 1-2-3 (red), A-C-E (blue), and 4-5-6 (green) subway lines. Be sure to try the Odeon around... More

Such a sweet, boutique hotel in the heart of Tribeca. Duane Street Hotel was modern, staff were friendly and helpful, great location near World Trade Center and subway and most importantly clean! Both bike and gym access. We will definitely stay here again.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
