I stayed at the Mela from Jan 28 to Feb 8th 2020 for 11 nights and I found it very tidy and friendly. I was surprised at the price it was great value right in times square great friendly management all staff helpful room just perfect for me and I have stayed in 5 star hotels and this to me was just as good. I would recommend to anyone.
stayed here again just a few weeks before shut down its really agreat place got a single room although small its clean and has got everything one needs also great computer check in and out plus a room for drinks and fruit etc all the time for free hope to see you again soon when this is over
We stayed here the first week of March. The location is great, just of Times Square. We booked a twin Superior room, we booked this hotel and room after looking on there website. Sad to say the room was nothing like the photo's. The beds were good, the rest not so. Very cramped, not much wardrobe space, no desk or chair ( as in the photo's ). It looked very run down, if this was a superior room what must a deluxe or standard be like . Credit to the front desk staff, the next day i went and complained. As they had no more superior twins they upgraded us to a suite with a sofa bed, saying the sofa bed was fantastic. The suite we had was very spacious and everything you needed was there. Looking at the price for a suite on line don't think it would be worth it. The sofa bed was not fantastic, like lying on springs. I asked for a duvet instead of blankets and was told they don't have enough duvets !!We didn't eat here so can't say about the food. The staff on the whole were good and helpful…
I will definitely stay here again. Reasonable Valet parking. Charleny at the front desk was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful during our 2 night stay. The room was comfortable, the shower fantastic and location was perfect in mid town for everything we wanted to see.
the pictures will tell you everything you need to know. there was severe water damage on one of the walls which I discovered as I stepped on an area of soaking wet carpet. the location is great, but you shouldn't get a hotel in this bad of condition at the prices they are charging.
