Bed & Breakfast at sugar hills is amazing, I honestly think it's the best room I've ever been to. The beds are nice, big and comfortable OMG I also ran late to work this morning because I couldn't get myself to leave the bed hahahaha. Everything was neat, clean and nicely put. In my opinion it is much better than... More

When we arrived at this location I was looking for a Hotel. We entered the building and there was a fat cat laying in one of the chairs we were finally greeted by Mr. Jeremy dressed in a wrinkled shirt and shorts. He was friendly before we paid and we were told to pay now and come back after 2:00... More

Good value B&B in a beautiful, characterful building in Harlem. The room was big with great amenities - big bed, kettle, tea, coffee etc, and great bathroom. It's close enough to a subway station, and is on a quiet street. Just to note that it's quite hard to find - there's no signage, so make sure you know which house... More

Stepping through the door into Jeremy's place feels like entering something between a New Orleans House of Voodoo and a 19th Century Colonial mansion, with dozens of (presumably given the location) ironic picaninny pictures and statuettes, a ouija board on the sofa, and lots and lots of books. Despite this the atmosphere is comfortable and, unusually for NYC, very quiet.... More

There is no "outside" signage seems like personal property used for business purpose; which is very well maintained. You'll receive a email from the owner giving you lots of information about how to reach the hotel and what is in the area. The total staff members are 3 including the owner; The owner gives you great advice for visiting places... More

I had a very good experience at Sugar Hill. Jeremy, the owner, is keen on providing his guests a good stay in New York and the house has a particularly nice atmosphere. The rooms are spacy, which is an advantage, if you would like to stay a bit longer. I stayed in Josephine's room, which was provided with a fridge... More

Sugar Hill is a gorgeous little apartment building in Harlem, it is rustic and oozing with charm, We stayed in the Satchmo room which was absolutely massive with a big comfy bed, a big bathroom with bath and shower and a door out onto the rooftop. The room was full of beautiful antique furniture and was warm and fully equipped... More

The room we stayed in (Lena) was beautiful with a very big and comfortable poster bed. The shower in the bathroom was cute as it was located up a few steps with nice red tiles. The house is charming, old-style, there's a jazzy feeling everywhere you look. About a 5 minute walk to the subway with a direct line to... More

This was our second stay at Sugar Hill Harlem inn, and it was just as amazing as the first stay. This time we stayed at the second location on 141st and Convent. The location was only 4 block way from the subway station and the neighborhood was very lively. I would definitely recommend anyone to use Sugar Hill Harlem in... More

Neighborhood Profile
Harlem
As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City.
