We had the most delightful stay at Sugar Hill Harlem Inn B & B. Our room was spacious and thoughtfully decorated reflecting the character of Harlem's Historic District. The proprietor, Jeremy, was entertaining, informative, and made the most delicious breakfasts! We highly recommend Sugar Hill Harem Inn. Keith Worth & Norma Hall

Second time to stay at Sugar Hill, will stay again if I'm in town. Always very comfortable clean and convenient. Subway station within walking distance and the "A" train will have you in all parts of the city in no time. Beautiful historic Harlem, blocks from great nightlife, and great restaurants. Reasonably priced for the city and the wonderful accommodations.

Friendly service, homey, large rooms, lots of books, free wi-fi. Breakfast available. Well-appointed, clean bathroom. Bonus is each room is themed after a jazz great! Great location, five-minute walk to a station with express service (A, D), and close to the 1 line also.

I stayed for a week in this lovely inn and I will most certainly be back. My room was absolutely lovely - massive for New York standards and was cleaned promptly every morning. The owner is always on site and very helpful (he sends marvellously informative emails). The price is amazing. I asked for a late exit and was only...

The customer service is so bad! The "hotel's" number is, I'm guessing the owner's cell phone number. He's rude and very unprofessional, instead of just telling me that you can't use a debit card to book the room he just kept canceling my reservation through booking.com. So I called the first time he did it and he told me that...

I can still remember the gross smell in this place. It is so dirty! Also, the "manager" is a nightmare to deal with. Please consider staying anywhere else. I'm trying to warn people so they don't have to go through what I did.

When we arrived at this location I was looking for a Hotel. We entered the building and there was a fat cat laying in one of the chairs we were finally greeted by Mr. Jeremy dressed in a wrinkled shirt and shorts. He was friendly before we paid and we were told to pay now and come back after 2:00...

Neighborhood Profile
Harlem
As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City. The heart of the neighborhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores.
