Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

I have stayed in lots of Radissons in Europe, and used the points up for this trip to New York as the daily rates in December were like $400 to $500 a night. Unfortunately the road was closed to traffic whilst I was there, but other than that inconvenience which was not the hotel's fault the location was superb. That is where the positive side ends. The lack of English speaking was beyond belief. I needed the toilet in the hotel, so asked 'Hello, can you please inform me where the restroom is ?".....all I received back was "No Comprendé"...unbelievable. It was like that at breakfast which was very limited, and the cereal was served with flat plates (don't know how that works with milk ?). I asked for a bowl, and after showing my excellent acting skills :D I finally received

The location is great for midtown activities and access to subways. Room was clean and well maintained. Room key is required for elevator and room access. Had to arrange for new/reprogrammed room keys on Sunday - my boyfriend's key -, Tuesday, and three times on Wednesday morning. We were checking out on Wednesday but well before checkout time, I couldn't use the elevator. Clerk reprogrammed my key twice with no luck then gave me a new key entirely which meant by boyfriend's key wouldn't work and he needed a new one to get back to the room.Upon checkout, the clerk sort of apologized but kept saying the problem was with the equipment, not Radisson. I don't care whose issue it was but definitely didn't feel taken care of.

Thank you for your review. We have addressed the issues internally so that no other guest will have to face the frustration you've expressed in this review. We completely understand how inconvenient this was for you and have IT and Engineering working together to ensure that this does not happen again. We are happy that both the location and the room was up to standards. We pride ourselves in offering great service and that includes a functional room key/room key system. We hope that this does not deter you from staying with us again as we have many new things on the horizon including our restaurant opening. Breakfast is on us the next time you're in town. Have a pleasant day!
