Excellent location, half way between Central Park and Times Square and our room on the 50th floor had a partial view of both. Beds really comfy and clean. Staff at reception, mostly helpful. Lovely touch birthday cupcakes left as a treat which was really nice. This hotel has free breakfast which is a nice touch and one of the reasons we booked but it wasn't the best. Some kids cereals, better coffee and some freshly made options would be nice. The eating area for breakfast had great views to watch the world go by. I would definitely recommend this hotel for comfort, views and location.

Stating here as I write. We originally were to stay at a different Residence closer to Times Square. I booked and paid for a high floor corner room. I received an email from the property saying they aren’t open yet but can stay here and they’ll try to give me a comparable room. Great , I say. I’m on a floor under the 50th , so not a high floor, and crammed on a floor with all rooms occupied so I can hear the other guests. And is certainly not close to a corner room in size or view. Ok, not a problem.... I guess. First problem- there’s no hair dryer. We call down after I’m out of the shower..: wait over 10 mins and call again and say that we can come downstairs to get it. No problem , we’ll be right there. 30 mins later, no hairdryer. For a wish with wavy hair, I need to start drying it while it’s wet. Plus why am I still waiting?? We go downstairs and ask for them just to give it to us. The TV keeps shutting off for some reason, and then the volume hors out. It’s after 11pm, I don’t want someone here in the room to fix di now we have to make do. But no hairdryer, a TV that’s jacked up... what next?? So the thermostat didn’t work at first. Showed the room temp as 80. We finally finagled it. Really?? All of these issues?? We are finally traveling again and have been loyal marriot customers, but this stay was not good.

It was a sweet little room with amazing an view and a little kitchen with silverware, glasses and plates. Boyfriend surprised me with rose petals and candles (fake) with a photographer to ask me to marry him!

I've heard about this hotel through several articles and recommended through people who've stayed here, and did it live up to the hype. I had a great view looking into Times Square and coming back towards the park. The room itself could be considered "small" but I thought it was right for me for 3 nights as I was pretty much on the go.

As an amateur photographer, I always look forward to my annual stay at the Residence Inn NY and the awesome and breathtaking views from my room. The check in was a breeze and I was delighted when David remembered me and he also mentioned that I had stayed in one of the Central Park view suites the former year. I had booked a City View room this year and David upgraded me to a magnificent double room facing the Hudson River, a partial view of Central Park and plenty of drawers. During my one week stay he also went above and beyond to comply with my requests. The staff is all extremely professional and friendly. The rooms are clean and well appointed and the bed is very comfy. Location is excellent and it’s nice to have a complimentary breakfast.
