We stayed at the Residence Inn Central Park just one night. We found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming, especially the front desk employees and the bellhops. Room was very clean and seemed new. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was great - spacious, good water pressure and temperature control. We were on the 37th floor and had a city view. Room was quiet. I was impressed with the breakfast which included a variety of options: cereal, hot items (eggs, very tasty potatoes, breakfast meats), oatmeal as well as juice, bagels and bread/toast and muffins individually wrapped. They included boxes for those on the go. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Excellent location!
Lovely hotel, with super staff. Room was spotless clean. Bed comfortable and Netflix in tv nice extra. Amenities, specially shampoo, very good quality. Good coffee in the room. Breakfast ok for me. And the view from the room - Wow! I had corner room with times square view. It was exactly like in photos and really was worth it.
I go to NY regularly and this hotel has become my new favorite. Located in midtown it's very close to a few subway stations, Central Park, Broadway theaters ,museums and Times Square yet it's just removed enough from all the craziness in Times Square. The rooms are on the small side (which is not unusually for NYC) but they make the most of the space and the views from your room are amazing. The staff at this hotel is top notch. I have never encountered an employee here who is any less than pleasant. On my recent stay Merlinda checked me in, she was so welcoming and friendly and quickly got me into my room. Checking out I had the pleasure of dealing with Kimberly. I recognized her from previous stays and she always stands out as offering you any help you may need. A basic breakfast is available on the 4th floor which comes with the room rate at the Residence Inn. It's nice to be able to go downstairs and grab breakfast before starting your day and relax in the nice room where it is served. I will continue to book here on future trips to the city.…
Great location, but a comedy of errors during our stay. The front of the hotel was blocked by two large linen trucks making drop off impossible. Upon our arrival to our room, we found all phones and clocks in the room disconnected . Second day, the elevators went down (we were on the 52nd floor) and they remained out for over an hour. Requested additional towels, pillows in my reservation and nothing had been added to the room until I requested them at the front desk. One day, they skipped any room clean up and towel changes. And the final item was the 6AM Fire Alarm. Can't blame the hotel on all the items outlined here, but no efforts were made by the staff to at least apologize for the multiple comedy of errors during our stay.
Stayed here for 5 night stay as a couple exploring NYC. Amazing views on the 52nd floor and the noise cancellation was excellent! We stayed in a Grand Times Square room and the views were breaktaking - even had a cheeky small glipse of Central Park. Despite not having paid for breakfast, we were told this was complimentary which was a nice surprise! The breakfast was a little basic for hot choice - scrambled egg, basic sausage and potatoes but was a good start to the day! The room was clean, well equiped - however the bins did not have bags, not sure if this is a thing! Excellent service to sort taxi and hold bags on the last day. The only shame was there not being a bath despite there being plenty of room for one...would definitely stay here again!
Ideally located close to subways (and steps from Stephen Colbert's show) as well as all kinds of public transportation, this modern hotel offers rooms that, while small, offer great features such as a fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Mine had a single bed and a double/queen. They were both very close together, but would suit a 3-person family. There is an in-room safe, a very comfortable bed and linens, a good size flat screenTV, a bit of a finicky temperature gauge on the shower and lots of outlets. Unfortunately, some were very loose and could not hold the plug. There is a bit of noise from the HVAC and appliances. I heard no noise from the street, and was on the 41st floor. An access card is needed to operate the lights and once removed, the lights go out after a few minutes. It must be an energy saving feature, but I did not like it. My room had a great city view and it felt like a quintessential NY experience. The free breakfast is high quality and offers take-away containers. The lobby is split with a sister property and includes a place to pick up a few convenience items. You are steps from theatres, drugstores, vendors, banks and restaurants. One of the best locations for sightseeing in all directions. I will definitely return.…
we have a reservation for 15 nights at the hotel, we are concerned about the comments about noise. we have reserved a studio room with a king size bed, we would like to know in floors were these? some recommendation? already looking forward to being with you!!!!
we stayed here for 5 nights in march. we had 2 rooms 2 adults and 4 children. we were on the 14th floor. the good points are a good location, can walk to a lot of things, nice view from the window, reception staff are friendly and helpful. the bad points, the hotel and rooms are very dated, the lifts are very old. the key cards constantly stop working, these are required for the lift and the rooms. the breakfast is not good!! the breakfast room, food and equipment seemed dirty to me, i didn’t like the kids drinking from the juice machine as it was all so grubby. The rooms had a fans in that were very very noisy and went off all night. We required the sofa bed to be made up in one of the rooms, when it was out you could barely walk around the room, there was so little room. There was no bar area to get a drink or chill out. in summary a very basic, useful base, fine if your not fussy. would i stay again………. probably not…
Location was excellent with all NYC attractions within walking distance. We had a corner room with a fabulous view on 56th floor. The room was convenient with a mini kitchen and nice size bathroom. Staff efficient and friendly. Breakfast is very very basic, can be improved by charging for it. It is an excellent choice if you want to stay in midtown.
New York is one of our favourite places to visit and this was our 5th time visiting. I have to say this is THE BEST hotel I’ve stayed at in NYC! We booked a King Studio with Park view. We arrived a bit early to check in so had to wait for our room. David at front desk was really nice and assured me that the room would be worth the wait. He was not wrong! Our room was 6402 so right near the top. We were blown away by the view from our room. The room had a kitchenette with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, plates, etc. The room was spotless, bed was huge and comfortable and the TV was a smart TV so we could watch Netflix, prime etc. Shower was great with good water pressure. Breakfast had a good selection to allow us to grab a quick bite before heading out for the day. All staff were really friendly and approachable. We found someone’s apple AirPods in the safe of our room and handed them in to David at front desk who assured us he would get them back to the previous guests which showed the staff are always willing to go above and beyond for the guests. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and will be my first choice for future stays in NYC.…
