Arrived early in New York the day of our stay. Asked the hotel to check in early so we could stash bags and change clothes. They wanted $75. They did agree to store bags for free until after check-in time. Room was clean and comfortable, but basic. Hope you like cold showers. Took forever to warm up and then got cold again during a normal shower. Shampoo while water is warm. Had to request a couple of items not in the room (shower caps and iron/ironing board). Staff brought these up very quickly. Hotel is located right next to elevated portion of subway. Yes fairly loud until late at night.. Located on the edge of Chinatown.

I booked this hotel as my second hotel of the stay in NYC not sure what to expect. However following the days before my trip , workers from this hotel reached out to me and confirmed and asked if there was anything they can do to accommodate me as I stayed there. Communication between both parties were amazing! We checked in @ 3PM , got our keys and went upstairs. As a lot of other reviews stated the rooms are small , honestly I have no issues with it at all. I was just using the hotel as a place to sleep for the night so as long as the entire place is CLEAN, I got no issues. The room we got was very basic and standard, came with two beds and a TV. Overall small , but CLEAN. The hotel is near Chinatown so if you want to check out a lot of the markets around this place it's pretty neat, there is also a metro fairly close to this hotel as well (which is SUPER CONVENIENT) There is always someone in the front desk , also I forgot the exact time , but pass a certain time you need to use your key to enter the building. Overall my entire stay was amazing , it was really nice and the workers at this hotel really knew how to make people feel at home. PS** They also have free breakfast at certain times! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Definitely will be staying at this place again.

This was my first stay in this area and perhaps my review has more to do with the fact that I don’t particularly like this part of NY. Our room was actually spacious, unlike many. It was very clean, and very quiet. However, there was no closet—in fact no rooms have closets! We had a small rod and some narrow shelves. There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels. But other than that it was fine, although not what I would call charming. Breakfast was adequate. The staff was very nice and quite helpful. You are in Chinatown but close to the lower east side and Little Italy if Chinese food is not to your liking. There is a subway station a block away.

The small size of this hotel's rooms is not unknown, just read other reviews. So yep, the room I stayed in was small. Not sure about it being a true Queen sized bed as listed either, it seemed perhaps narrower and definitely shorter than what I'm used to but it was comfortable. The air conditioner didn't respond to attempts to adjust the temperature, couldn't change the channels on the television, a device charger type thingy next to the wall side of the bed had a light that couldn't be dimmed nor could the time on it be changed. Had to keep it underneath the bed so the light wouldn't disturb sleep. Both keys had to be rebooted at the front desk as each one didn't unlock at one time or another. So why 4 stars? The room and its bathroom were VERY CLEAN, well nigh SPOTLESS. Water pressure in shower was pretty good. The breakfast, included in price, while definitely not gourmet, was more than adequate to get one going for the day. The staff was pleasant and gracious. The price for NYC standards is terrific. If the above mentioned problems weren't there, the Madison LES Hotel would have earned 5 stars for the comfort and value you get for your money. Highly recommend!

The Madison Less is a good choice beacause it's well located near Chinatown for visiting New York by subway and buses without spending too much, considering that New York is very expensive ! The hotel is little but has everything, normal breakfast and beautiful panoramic terrace on the top floor. My room was really small, the bed too and basically didn't have a wardrobe but it was cleaned every day with a change of towels. Even though it is close to the railway, the rooms are quiet.
