I browsed this location to a trip that I possible going to take to New York. Nothing was set in stone in order to get the final amount I went on and reserved the hotel with the discount code I used it said you had to pay in advance after I read that I called their reservation line to cancel... Absolutely love this property! Every time I have stayed there the staff is incredibly pleasant and welcoming. The rooms are always clean and well-equipped. They even brought us a mini-fridge for my daughter's milk.

The hotel is lovely and convenient to public transportation, great location. I prefer the East side not so many people huckstering on the streets. Avoid the restaurant, the staff was incompetent and rude. Breakfast service was a hot mess! There's a diner right next store called the Palace, they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fast, friendly & reasonable.

When in Manhattan I seek this one out if the price is right. The staff are courteous, the rooms are - ok, small, but well spec'd - and it's a convenient walking distance - about seven blocks - to the Park East Synagogue (it's also round the corner from Central Synagogue. I would prefer they didn't charge $16 for the... More

This is our third time to return to this hotel. While this may not have all the amenities of the Palace Hotel (where we have stayed a couple of times) it is welcoming, cute, art deco decor and a perfect location. It does not have the Palace high rates either, in fact for NY is very reasonable. Rooms are not large... More

Having stayed at the Hotel 57 before, about two years prior, I returned on a business trip. The location is excellent, walkable distance to Grand Central, Central Park and many Uoper East side amenities. The hotel itself fancies itself as a chic, boutique style hotel, and it fits the bill. Upon arrival, the mini-lobby on the first floor has two... More

Thanks to TripAdvisor, we found a great weekend rate ($150/night) at this East Side Marriott. We had the smallest double, and the room was very small, but fine for our needs. Everything was clean and working well, the bath was large compared to room, and (contrary to many reviews) a full length mirror was on the inside of the closet... More

The hotel was most accommodating, great location and comfortable room. I was stuck during the blizzard and they were able to keep me in my room for another week so I did not have to move. The Club lounge is one of the best in my extensive travels. Christina makes a great environment and is always so cheerful. She is... More

Stayed two nights Jan 20 and 21, 2016. Friendly and efficient reception and check in with William. Small but clean and well kept room. Public spaces are somewhat dated in style but it looks like they spent a lot of money on this property twenty years ago and the fixtures have lasted and aged pretty well. Bar, restaurant, and upper... More

This hotel is fantastic. Originally booked for 27 nights and then for an additional 3 due to the blizzard. The staff are awesome particularly the security. The two rooms we stayed in were always cleaned to a high standard particularly when Monica did it. The breakfast was included for the last 3 nights and had a limited selection but was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
