The hotel stuff are very caring, supportive, honest, trustful and friendly! I stayed other hotels in Tulum too but no hotel stuff are as nice as these people from Gramercy Tulum. They are absolutely the best!!
feels like you are stepping back in time. It has an elegance from years past. A small crowded bar in the front, and a "dance hall " through the bar. All the clientele looked like they could affor $30 drinks. Good for them. I'm glad I went in - note - where to sit.
We stayed here for a week as a sort of test trial for moving to NYC and potentially living in this neighborhood. I love how quiet Gramercy Park is, its like a little calm pocket in the city yet its perfectly located because its easy to get anywhere so this hotel is perfectly located for a weekend in the city. The hotel is legendary but its intimate, with its dark and dramatic lobby with a larger than life fireplace that's always burning in the winter and its art collection that boats real Warhol's and Hirst's. The exclusive terrace is perfection if you find yourself there in the summer. The staff are quite friendly, minus the door staff at the Rose bar, and the bartender is just the best! The rooms are on the smaller side, even for NYC, but the decor and use of space somewhat makes up for it. The onsite restaurant Maialino is fantastic, I had frequented it for brunch over the past years but I finally dined here for dinner during this stay and it was delicious, I highly recommend the cacio e pepe.…
Where has this hotel been all of my life with its gorgeous neighborhood and top notch service? There is an incredible bar in the lobby with an invigorating nightlife scene without being obnoxious. Andy Warhol on the walls. The room décor is a bit decadent – dark wood floors and velvet upholstery. The beds are very comfortable. Unlike most historic NYC hotel properties, the AC worked great – we had it running the whole time during a September heat wave. We were upgraded to a beautiful Suite on the 16th floor with a view of Gramercy Park and the Freedom Tower. There were lots of windows with blinds and room darkening shades. During my other trips to New York, I have stayed at more expensive properties on the UES or in Midtown. But staying in this lovely neighborhood was a game-changer; it’s our new favorite spot in Manhattan. Guests are mostly business travelers. It is an easy walk to bars, restaurants, shopping on Park Ave/Broadway. There is a subway stop nearby but we took Uber or taxis everywhere. The front desk staff, doormen, valet, housekeeping, and bartenders were all wonderful. Peter the hotel GM was especially gracious and saw to it that our stay was enjoyable. I like luxury and my husband likes to have a lively bar and restaurant scene in the hotel. We finally found the perfect spot that we both adore in NYC. I understand that Peter is no longer there but hopefully this hotel will be just as fabulous during our next trip to NYC.…
I worked closely with Victor Morales (the hotel's concierge/guest experience manager) to plan my proposal and stay at the Gramercy Park Hotel. Victor went above and beyond. He met with me a few months ahead to walk me through the details and was very responsive to my communications leading up to the big day. Beyond his amazing service, the whole team at the hotel made sure that my fiancé and I had a fantastic stay. Thank you!
