We had a canceled flight late the night of our stay. I found this hotel. Everyone was so extremely nice. —very clean—awesome beds. This was a great location as well. You could walk to time square in 10 minutes. Excellent choice!
What a wonderful visit to New York. Archer is located in Midtown, walking distance to Times Square, Subways, Financial District, Garment District. From the time you step in you are greeted heartily by the staff, and made welcome at every turn. The lobby area, while small is very comfortable with a nice sitting area just outside the lobby, and in the adjacent bar. The check in process was fast and efficient, and the elevators move very quickly. The rooms are typical New York(small) but well appointed, desk, outlets throughout(who knew this was a bonus these days), iron, ironing board, safe, Nespresso machine and pods. Bathroom was tidy, with room to spread out your toiletries. There is a rooftop bar that requires reservations, but we they were able to accommodate us every time. The views from there were spectacular with the Empire State Building in the foreground. The restaurant just opened the week we arrived, and food and service were on par for a newly opened facility. They also have a complimentary coffee/tea/pastry service in the morning. Prices for the bar and restaurant are in line with most other New York hotels. My only downside was we had to ask for the Body Wash dispenser to be filled twice, which took two days to finally resolve, but they did have bar soap available. I cannot restate enough how great the staff were, and the location if you want to be near Midtown. Tip: Book through the hotel website as prices were cheaper than any other site.…
We did not enjoy our stay at Archer NYC. There were several shortcomings & I do not recommend this place. It had some nice parts but cramped & rushed & not very friendly Their famous rooftop bar was nice but the staff were unpleasant & rushed. Their is no place to load or unload and parking is not convenient. A valet service should be the standard. Also, do not try to get ice in this place…
I choose The Archer thanks to the fab photo's online and its walking proximity to Times Square. I do not like Times Square! but had to attend a conference being held at the Marriott Marquis. The Archer was a 10 minute walk - delightful walk, past Bryant Park and along 6th Avenue. The only horror was having to go to Times Square at all (yuck)....but coming back to The Archer each night of my 3 night stay was delightful! 38th Street isn't the most attractive,...but as soon as you enter the lobby The Archer welcomes you in a very mod, loungey-but-not-too-cool fashion. I just loved it! I am an old school, Amex Platinum, must be 5-start property kind of girl. SO SO glad it is a new day in the world overall and that I branched out to try The Archer. The room was beyond scrumptious (altho I could hear my neighbor's door slam shut every night), and the rooftop bar/lounge truly spectacular! So looking forward to a return trip.…
Well priced Boutique hotel in mid-town Manhattan and a short walk to Broadway theaters. Rooms are clean, compact with a great bed & linens. Shower has foot rest for the ladies and magnifying mirror is a plus. Spyglass rooftop bar is amazing!!! Great feature of this lovely hotel. Friendly and helpful front desk staff too. We highly recommend and will stay on our next trip to NYC!
Long flight from Scotland. Arrived to the room (Not a good start for our honeymoon). A few issues that Evan at the front desk and the team fixed very quickly. Location is perfect for a tourist plus the view of the empire state building is magical...Thank you again Evan for making things right...You are an assest to the hotel.
Love the staff, the rooftop, the room (bed right next to the window looking out over Empire State Bldg) , comfy beds, bathtub, and outdoor lobby. Loved the location which allows me to go everywhere. And now I cannot end the review because it’s forcing me to type 200 characters.
Always hits the the mark! Friendly, clean, fun! Just like being at home. The team is amazing. The management is attentive. The location is perfect. Highly recommend this place to everyone. Enjoy your stay.
We had a great stay at this lovely hotel - great staff who were so very friendly and helpful. Though compact, our room had plenty of storage space and a wonderful view of the Empire State Building which we loved! The maid service was excellent as were the bathroom products provided. The hotel is in a brilliant location - easy walking distance to all the best sights. It was easy to get a cab to the ferry port for the trip to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We would definitely stay at The Archer again. Thanks to all for a fabulous stay.
We visited the Archer Hotel in December 2021 for our first honeymoon for 4 nights. We absolutely loved the hotel. The rooms were gorgeous, staff were absolutely lovely and we loved the little touches like breakfast pastries in the lobby in the mornings. Reception staff were great, assisting me to buy theatre tickets on their computer as mine wouldn't work abroad. If we were to return to NYC and stay in Manhattan, we would 100% return to this hotel and recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the centre of NYC. We had such an incredible honeymoon and can't wait to return in the future!
