I have been trying to contact the hotel since June re a refund I am due for a visit which can't take please, no one is answering my many emails and the phone line just rings out HOWEVER the phone line to take new bookings is open but no one can help me with refund except logging an email with customer service who no one returns my calls. I was due to visit the hotel on 22.11.20 due to covid our flight was cancelled so have been asking for a refund since June. I have had no communication to tell me the hotel is even closed. The lack of service has been horrendous - AVOID

Just a warning. I was ripped-off for over $300 for services including (quote) "the use of the fridge", not that there was anything in the fridge - this is the cost of keeping it cold... The hotel was OK, but they scam you with a pre-authorisation on your credit card for damage etc (which is reasonable) but then once you've left, a couple of weeks later you get a bill for stuff you've never used - or wanted - & in my case #voyageprivé (travel agent) didn't accept responsibility for. Ignore the photos of the terrace too - it's going to be closed for 5 years & is unusable. They might as well have had 'Milo' from Times Square as the doorman, demanding $20 just to open the door. READ THE SMALLPRINT & ideally book elsewhere.

Very late writing a review as a couple of days after returning the pandemic took hold. There was nothing that could have been improved at the Westhouse. Breakfast was superb, rooms more spacious than we expected and the staff were superb. The daily happy hour was outstanding - alcoholic drinks free-flowing and lovely food. I wish all WH staff the very best and hope tourism returns to NYC as soon as possible.

I enjoyed a free night from Hotels.com after ten bookings. This boutique hotel is very charming and does offer a most pleasant experience. I enjoyed a sedate champagne supper talking with a nice Los Angeles lady followed by a contrastingly vigorous workout in the fitness room that looks over the street just around the corner from Carnegie Hall. Very comfortable bed. Watched Mike Myers and remembered "Wayne's World" (so wacky)! Breakfast was positively sumptuous. I just paid $64 facility fee and enjoyed liberal amounts of quality wine and tasty foods. This was just before the "shut down" and prices were on discount. Manhattan is a paradise of fine hotels. I hope this over-hyped nonesense that has been pushing excessive fears of virus infection comes to a swift end and hotels get back to normal before businesses are even more severely damaged. Most of it seems politically driven! The pandemic is the panic because Dems can't win the White House!

In the heart of Manhattan, within a 10-minute walk to Times Square and Central Park, downtown attractions are within walking distance. There is a subway station nearby. Food is average. Every member of staff we is polite, helpful and courteous, however do beware of the high resort fee. It’s so not worth it!
