Lovely hotel right in the middle of everything. The place is beautifully appointed, beds so comfortable, great showers, yummy breakfast and cocktail hour, but what makes the Westhouse extra special is the staff. Every time we stay there we’re welcomed like family, from the bellmen who rush out to greet the car to the front desk (all great, especially Vanessa) to the housekeeping crew: I almost don’t want to share this review because it’s a hidden gem in NYC but they deserve the kudos.
I spent 3 wonderful nights with my wife and 2 daughters in the WestHouse Hotel. I can't compliment the staff and facilities enough. They were so courteous and helpful whenever we had a query. The buffet breakfast and dinner were top drawer every night. The location to Central Park and Time Square is perfect. Thank you all and keep up the good work! Colin and Family
We had an amazing time at the Westhouse Hotel. Every employee is very kind and can help at any time. We will never forget the very kind and friendly Donna who helped us during our trip. We laughed so much together and felt like home ❤️ thanks to her & her amazing work.
This hotel is not without some positives. I loved the location and the breakfast is wonderful (although the daily resort fee is $55 so you are paying for it). My main issue is that there is NO AIR CONDITIONING in the rooms. I paid $475 a night and had to work in my room for 2 out of my 4 days. I was miserable. It was also difficult to sleep. I called on day 2 and they said they would send an engineer the next day. I came back the night of day 3 and the room was still hot. So I called again. It was suggested an engineer didn't visit because I had my Do not Disturb sign up. Nope. And blaming the guest for the problem is not a good look. She put me through to the manager who said an engineer would come the next day. So here I am, day 4 and they just came. And the engineer told me there is no AC in the rooms at this hotel. He suggested he reopen the window. (I had closed it to see if the semi cool air blowing from the fan might cool the room more.) It's late winter. It's been 30-40 degrees outside. I can only open the window a few inches. And my room has stayed between 76 and 78 degrees. And also, why did nobody mention this when I called on day 2, or day 3? Just awful. Can't wait to get out of here tomorrow.…
the second i arrived, i felt right at home. the bellmen were helpful and came up to my uber right away to help me with my luggage. which felt like such a great relief after traveling and running around with them all day. the front desk attendant kevin or nick, not quite sure the name, was also kind and attentive. he mentioned our room wasn't ready yet but that we can leave our luggage at the hotel and explore the city. the room was tidy, beautiful, and exactly what i needed. now let's get to the GOOD STUFF. the terrace ! working from there was amazing. and the fact that breakfast, dinner, and happy hour was complimentary was a major win. westhouse, i'll be back again!
We were so delighted to come back here after three years . This is a great hotel. Fantastic location within very easy access of everything. Super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very good and immaculate. Very quiet considering the location. We love this place and highly recommend
A weekend getaway with an awful experience at Westhouse. The hotel had not cleaned our room before arrival. There was rotten food in the refrigerator from the previous guest. The bathroom was dirty and when we called to complain they did little to resolve this issue. When I called the front desk for suggestions on local places to get a sandwich or bagels they said “ we can look on Google for you, but you can do that yourself” they were especially discourteous upon check in and were not polite when I asked for an explanation of room charges. The hotel itself seemed nice ( if room had been cleaned better begore check in) it’s was mostly the hotel employees which clearly had no regard for making the experience enjoyable. At this point in time, I would strongly discourage people from staying at this hotel and I myself would not chose to stay there again. Once more I’d like to emphasize that it was the employees that made this visit so unenjoyable …
I had such a wonderful stay at West House! The breakfast is divine, the decor is lovely, and the staff are incredibly attentive. The location is perfect. The hotel is right down the street from Central Park and right next to the Times Square Theatre District. I would absolutely stay here again!
Very nice hidden gem. Pleasant atmosphere with great full breakfast fare and evening complimentary food and beverage. Caring and friendly staff. Clean rooms with nice amenities. Easy check in and great doormen and all staff ready to meet your needs
I guess I lucked out when I reserved my room through an aggregator at an extremely low price. T the suite was enormous with a separate bedroom with its own temperature settings. Two massive balconies with fabulous views. The furniture is a tad dated, but there are so many amenities in the room. It is hard to complain about anything really. The people at reception were incredibly charming. The lobby is small, but has a bar in the back that doesn't seem to get a lot of action. The real kicker is the breakfast and late afternoon wine buffet. I couldn't believe how much food was there for both seatings, and you can eat inside or out on a considerable patio with lovely views. I could subsist on this alone, if I wasn't tempted to eat out on the regular. I would just check to see if the cost for this has now been absorbed into a resort fee. Otherwise, I would always stay here if I could.…
