Stayed here for 6 nights during the last wk of Jan to early Feb 2011. Check-in/chk out was easy & quick. Room maybe small but it was always clean, away from noise and has wide window and clean bathroom. Our stay was during one of the coldest time in NY but we managed to have our 4 suitcases full of... We stayed at the Solita for 10 nights in January 2011. We chose this hotel in Soho because our daughter is living two blocks away and we wanted to be close to her. We also chose it as it was such good price when compared to others in Soho. Orginally we were given a corner room on the 9th floor... More

I stayed for two nights. A colleague and I selected this hotel because it was the most reasonably priced option (by New York standards only) that was within walking distance of where we needed to go. The hotel is within a very short walk of Soho and Chinatown - I was thrilled with the location. The rooms are extremely small... More

I arrived here after having spent a night at an awful hotel nearby. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was small but neat and everything was clean. I had a wonderful sleep in a super comfy bed. I highly recommend this for the budget-conscious traveller.

The staff on reception were always friendly and helpful. The modern room looked out onto the street which (because we like open windows and fresh air, rather than AC) was rather noisy - especially due to nearby fire station. Although compact, the room was clean and comfortable (with en suite & a great shower). The Solita is ideally placed -... More

We arrived at this hotel on Friday October 22, 2010. We arrived before the 3 pm check in time and only had to wait about 10 minutes to get into our room. We went up, and when the door opened, I think all three of our jaws dropped. There is no way (even though Stephanie at the front desk argued... More

Stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms were clean and well equiped (iron, phone, tv, hairdryer, safe). The location is really great, good subway options and shopping nearby. The doubles are small, so 3 in a room is too tight. For the price its a good option, to stay in such a great location, as space in NY is always... More

I stayed here rather than a midtown hotel because a friend was having a special event just a couple of subway stops away. On the plus side, this hotel is on the less expensive side for NYC, has large new bathrooms and awesome showers, nice bath toiletries, ample nice towels, and everything was very clean. The desk staff also were... More

I stayed at the Solita Soho in a Double room with a friend. It was small, but clean comfortable and modern. Really great location in between Little Italy and Soho and near China Town, Canal Street and the Subway. The staff is very nice and the French Cafe Parigot next store is lovely. I will definitely stay here again!

The Solita, like most boutique hotels, is a renovated hotel with very small rooms. The room was clean, and modern with a comfortable bed an soft linens. The bathroom was a little more spacious. The problems - the air conditioning unit was so close to the bed with no way of adjusting the vents, so we had to cover part... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
