We called the hotel to change our reservation after our flight got cancelled due to a hurricane. I have never been so poorly treated by a hotel concierge in my life. She was very rude, condescending and hung-up on me. I have no idea how people like this work with customers. If this was on the phone, I can only imagine the service in person. Terrible experience.
This is my second time staying at Solita. The location is great no easy to get to. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. The showers are great as well. Plus you get a discount on Starbucks down the street always a treat! I was able to extend my stay by a few hours with no issues and leave my bags in the lobby while I was out after check out. I will definitely be staying again
Surprised to see an affordable hotel in such a great location have such friendly staff. From Housekeeping to Front desk, everyone seemed quite pleased to be there. Shout out to Jerrod and Travis, who were both extremely helpful and accommodating during my NYC trip.
I came with a friend for a girl's trip to New York. The Solita Soho is in a great location that is easy to access by subway and for seeing various sites in the city. The service at the front desk from Juanita was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were there during a 90+ degree heat wave, and the air conditioning in our room was perfect! We were comfortable the entire time. We will definitely return here the next time we visit New York City!
The Solita Soho Hotel is amazing. There were other places we looked at but this by far was the right choice! Keith was excellent and so friendly. He gave suggestions, shared stories and made us feel like we were staying with a friend. Close to public transport and Chinatown. Perfect place to stay. We will be staying here again on our next visit! We don’t have pictures of the hotel but the pictures on the website are 1,000% accurate. Loved it here.
Came with 20 year old and 12 year old sons. Great accommodations and Juanita at the front is the hostess with the moistest ! The rooms are typical New York size but very well put together. Clean rooms and convenient location as well
If I could give a zero, I would. I tried to book here 2 weeks before my stay. Didn't get confirmation it was booked on website, no email, called front desk and they told me to rebook. When I tried the rates on the room went up and I decided to go elsewhere. Well get a charge on my account the day I was supposed to check out (again, no email at all) for being a no show. Called immediately and FINALLY got a response a week later saying there isn't anything they can do. What a scam and SO frustrating.Take your money elsewhere.
When we arrived there was a lady complaining so we were a little worried but we got to our room and it was good. Our room had 2 queen beds and it was big enough for us two friends to share. Four sharing would have been a squeeze. The bathroom was compact but the shower was great. The air conditioning was very welcome as it was hot. We thought that the hotel would be noisy from the street or the room next door but we didn’t hear much, just voices when we were waiting for the lift, or garbage trucks in the morning. All of the staff that we met during our 3 night stay were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is a short walk from Broadway and some shops there. And a short walk to Little Italy and all of the lovely restaurants there. The Landmark diner opposite it a great place for breakfast too! We had a great stay!…
As the title says, please do not stay here as the hotel is disgusting. My room was quiet which was nice, but the bed sheet had a big blood stain, the shower curtain was moldy, the floors were gross and the room was generally gross and uncomfortable. It's ran by 1-2 people so it's near impossible to get anything to your room, such as a mini fridge. Don't get me started on the stanky mini fridges... what a dump. There are so many half decent places nearby, skip this trashcan.
I had to book a hotel very last-minute for a recent trip and didn't want to spend a bundle. I'm so happy I chose the Solita! The room was small, but clean, with a great shower and view of the city. The front desk staff was consistently friendly and helpful. There was also free coffee and pastry at the front desk around 7am each day. The air conditioner worked great and I could not hear any noise from neighbouring rooms. Only con was that the windows were not very sound-proof, so street noise could be heard from up on the 10th floor. Despite this, I still slept great. Would definitely return!
