Hakim was a fantastic bartender. Fast, friendly and personal able. He catered to our group and made sure everyone was taken care of. Also remembered everyones name. Made the entire group feel at home and gave the best drinks in town. The best!
I guess it's New York, so don't expect nothing fancy unless you are willing to spend a whole lots of money. Hyatt hotels that I have stayed at in Texas have beautiful rooms and great breakfast. The good thing about the Hyatt Centric, it's location and friendly staff. They were very helpful with directions and how to use the subway.
Great hotel. Super friendly staff and wonderful room! Comfortable bed! Great toiletries too. So close to the theaters; great restaurants and Grand Central, MOMA, Rockefeller Center and much more! I will definitely stay again!
Top Notch grade A from check in till check out. Rooms are very nice, wonderful hot water in the rain shower. You will not be disappointed...... The Staff was exceptional from telling us how to ride the subway to giving us the best way to the airport.
The hotel is excellent, no complaints. However, the bar service is poor- but in a pinch the food is good. However, if you can, there are so many other options. It is NYC and there are many other options.
Stayed here for 5 nights. 2 double beds on a high floor. The hotel is 2 mins away from times square, very friendly staff, very clean rooms. Plenty of towels, excellent hair dryer and iron / board. Toiletries and coffee/tea pods / water replenished every day whether we needed them or not. The room was spacious, the bathroom was spacious and luxurious. As with most hotels, I always find that the lighting in the bathroom is never bright enough, and the mirrors are placed away from the window light so its not that easy to sort you make up when getting ready for the day / night ahead. Considering we were so close to Time Square, the room was fairly quiet. Beds were comfortable. We stayed on 37th floor. We did pay a higher price for this hotel than I normally would as it was for a special birthday, but think it was worth it. …
I am 52 years old and have stayed at many hotels over the years. This hotel is among the cleanest and most modern I've ever stayed at. Everyone has their priorities about what they look for in a hotel. For my family it is cleanliness and this hotel honestly appeared to be brand new.
I booked a luxury solo holiday for myself and wanted somewhere great to stay; From the moment I walked in, I felt that it was going to be lovely; It was a mixed experience. The first suite was a bit of a disaster. There was a very bad chemical smell, the bedding wasn't tucked in and the duvet cover hadn't been done up. The plumbing was extremely noisy and the shower rattled. The bedside lighting didn't work and an engineer was sent out twice, very quickly but, it couldn't be fixed. I was offered another room. Second suite was lovely! Slightly dated but, very clean (which is the main thing), linen tucked in properly with pillow and mattress protectors. The Wi-Fi was a little unreliable and you can’t Chromecast much onto the TV. No bin liner for bin, which is a nuisance as there is nowhere to dispose of feminine hygiene products; Thankfully, I'd brought my own bin liners. There were no heated towel rails so, you couldn't wash anything and dry it yourself. Perfect built-in wardrobes with room for suitcases also. Not enough hangers but iron and ironing board provided. Fantastic A/C. The room was on the 'City View' side, which was incredibly beautiful. Very quiet, considering location and had fabulous views with the Chrysler Building and river etc. The subway is just round the corner. No restaurant at the moment but Bar54 (hotel roof) is ok. Service was great but the was food average. I sent mine back as undercooked and soggy. The staff gave free drinks and were apologetic, which was great. Starbucks and Walgreens are just over the road. Mc Donald's is also over the road, if you're desperate. It's easy to find something to eat locally. The hotel is very central and a short walk to 5th Avenue, all the sights and Central Park etc. Great security presence on doors so it felt secure. There was even someone to open the car door upon arrival and departure. The front desk staff were obliging. The pillows awful!! Had six and still had to use my jacket, travel pillow and both dressing gowns to slightly elevate myself. I had requested non-feather pillows but when I got there I was told that down pillows are the standard pillow. Definitely a mixed experience but, I would go back there tomorrow, if I could! Recommended hotel.…
The hotel has it all! I stayed two nights on a quick weekend trip to NYC. For the first night I had a larger room with two Queen beds for me and my sister, and for the second I “downgraded” to a standard king. Both rooms were fantastic. The larger room was incredibly roomy for an NYC hotel room and had a coffee maker, fridge and a safe. The free bottles of water were a nice touch. The bathroom had a tub and a shower. Beds were comfy and the towels were nice. The standard king the next day was just as nice. Yea it was smaller but there was still a desk with a chair as well as an armchair. The floor in the bathroom was heated! This room was on a much lower floor than the two queens (46 vs 16) but there was no street noise to speak of. The elevators were fast (again, for nyc) and the only time there was a wait to speak of was at checkout time on Sunday. We did snag a reservation at Bar 54 and even though it was a bit rainy and very foggy it was a great experience. The drinks were delicious and the service was great. We did take our last drink out in the balcony and enjoyed the view (which would be spectacular on a nice night). One final note: the staff at the front desk were pretty terrific. It was just, all in all, a first rate experience. Highly recommend!…
Great spot to stay if you travelto Manhattan and you want to be central to all directions. You are located 80m away from times square. Also 2 Substations are close to your spot. 42nd with a lot of different lines for uptown and downtown. 49th with also some options. Would I stay there a 2nd time? Sure I would. From the bar on level 54 you have a great view over the city. For sure worth to spend some time there.
