The convenience to Carnegie Hall and Central Park was exceptional. Enjoyed the room. The Staff was great and especially Melissa D who was especially helpful. Don’t miss the rooftop patio and bar. We had a lot of fun up there with the stellar views and cocktails. We’ll be back soon!
Le Meridien has style that any Frat boy would love -- its clunky and kinda old world, but sumptuous, full of leather and wood and brass. However, it is idiosyncratic. For example, the close-up mirror is locked in place at about 6 feet and it doesn't tilt. If you are under or over 6 feet you can't use it. The open shower is nicely tiled and great for the tropics, but cold in the Northeast winters. And the management wouldn't move my room when I told them the sink had no stopper and was clogged with leaves and hair (no kidding). I HAD to stay put and jury-rig a way to shave. That is crap service, especially for a Bonvoy Platinum Guest. So ultimately, I would have to say go elsewhere. I know I will.
The staff is friendly, accommodating & kind. Vijay is the best hospitality person in NYC - he truly cares about the safety and enjoyment of your trip. He goes out of his way to help you and make sure you are comfortable. The hotel is clean and well maintained. For business travelers, it can be a home away from home.
Service was excellent and the location is outstanding. Very quiet. Cappuccino maker was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Negatives: The bed was very soft and provided no back support. I awoke with a backache. Also, I was surprised and disappointed that this quality hotel would furnish cheap toilet paper.
Check in was cold. No outlets open. Room smelled a bit off. Get to the room and a small red spider climbs on me. I write to them via the Marriott app and no response. I decide to the front desk and show them and not even an apology. Just disappointing, felt like no one cared
As part of my birthday celebration the family flew in from Mexico, California and NY. We had a fantastic time thanks to the help of Mr. Chosgial who helped us with the surprise visit of my daughter. Check in was also a breeze, and they sent everything to my room as we had a concert starting next door in less than 15 minutes.
First, I'll preface that the staff were friendly and attentive. We booked one of the suites for the weekend and the staff were polite and attentive. So why a 3? First, the rooms. Really not the best shape. Handles breaking off the sink and the decor in need of some attention, it left much to be desired. It is in a bit of disrepair. Sleep quality was really bad. Beds are stiff as a board and very low to the ground. Not a big fan of this given that I'm still recovering from some injuries I had sustained a few months back. The restaurant attached was nothing spectacular. One breakfast item on the menu and very limited. We didn't get a chance to go to the rooftop as it was closed Sunday and Monday. Overall location was pretty good. Quiet in the area and a close walk to Central Park.…
Business trip to NYC but enjoyed my stay. Close to Central Park. Easy subway access. Rooms are smaller but the bed is really comfortable. Mini fridge. Water pressure was good. Would for sure stay again.
Unpleasant experience; stains on carpet, window half broken, staff uninterested. Free elite member "breakfast" is an insult re quality and service. It is absolutely not what one can and should expect from the LeMeridien brand. Absolutely no value for money. This is a review from a Marriott super elite member with 100+ nights in hotels per year.
I travel frequently for work and have stayed at many of the Marriott group properties across the city. I also travel frequently to Europe for work and other places in the US for pleasure/ leisure. I’ve come to expect NYC hotels are tiny, not super clean and the staff isn’t super friendly. This is NOT the case at the Le Meridien. The hotel is clean and the rooms, while NYC-sized small are well appointed. I recently stayed at the Le Meridien for a brief one-night strip. I checked out, and was on my way to the airport for a 4 hour delay followed by the inevitable cancelled flight. As the flight delays progressed, I started looking for a room because I was skeptical the flight would still make it out. It was graduation week and there was almost nothing available, including the Le Meridien being sold out. I decided to take a chance and call the hotel - and to my utter delight, after speaking with a few kind employees, they were able to find me a room - for a great rate- and even upgraded me to a suite! I was fortunate enough to interact with these individuals when my flight was cancelled and I finally made my way back to the city and hotel. Lydia, Melissa, Eunique and Asimina were kind, warm, welcoming and just awesome human beings. They took care of me when I was in a difficult spot and were so genuinely sweet. I’ve worked in customer service for 20 years - these are the kind of employees that make or break a business - and they make a difference to the customers and guests in such a positive way. After how they treated me, I will never stay anywhere else when I come to NYC. I hope they receive recognition for providing outstanding customer service and a great guest experience. …
