This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Le Meridian on 57th street is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in New York. As a native New Yorker, I enjoy exploring different Manhattan destinations for a couple of nights and always getting a glimpse of a different view. Le Meridian is an unbelievable hotel and a true GEM! The interiors are classical, sophisticated and stunning. They have an old world glamour chic aesthetic, paired with amazing modern conveniences. I came for a staycation, and did not want to leave. The beds were remarkably comfortable, the marble shower was super luxurious and the views of Central Park were just amazing. For those who don’t know; there was once a Hotled called the Parker Meridian on W 57th Street. Le Meridian is essentially a newly designed hotel with all new amenities. Their rooftop bar is also an awesome place to have a drink and hang out. I so so so recommend this hotel. An amazing stay and I cannot wait to come back.

I was a little worried after reading some recent negative reviews but that was not our experience at all, even with the hotel transitioning to a different brand. Check in was an easy process, we were upgraded to have a room with a terrace as well. The room was nice, pillows weren't the best but still comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous and spacious. I enjoyed the espresso maker in the room, it was nice to enjoy it out on our Terrace. The location is wonderful for all the touristy activities we wanted to do. Just about a block away from a couple of subway stops, close to Central Park and about a 15 minute walk from Time Square and Broadway shows. I would definitely recommend if you center your stay in Manhattan. We would stay here again.

Please note that the review is for Le Meridien, not Viceroy (that was the old name before rebranding). This is work in progress, recently rebranded hotel, joining Marriott Bonvoy program. Glad I used my points for one free night, otherwise would be disappointed. I wouldn't say it is all bad, excellent location between Theater District and the southern edge of Central Park, pleasant service, mostly friendly. The lobby is pretty tasteful, but small, the rooms are quite dated, and also way too small for my taste. I would say the rooms can use some love, heavy redecorating and such. Other Le Meridien hotels where I stayed were quite good, so I expect that they can make it better, with time. The size of the rooms though is not something they can change. After Sofitel and Novotel stays, this Le Meridien looks and feels "mew", a bit pedestrian. Would give it another try, if the rate is "right", but won't stay more than one night. There are better options in Accor and even Marriott/Starwood hotel brands that I favor.

Dear Alex G Thank you so much for sharing your feedback and I am glad that you enjoyed the service of my colleagues. As you mentioned it was recently converted to Le Meridien brand and we have renovated the hotel lobby last month. We are also working on our room refresh plan and you will soon find out more details about it. I appreciate you staying with us and we look forward to serving you again. Sincerely, Shahram

The weeks stay at the newly named hotel, Le Meridian, was perfect. Walk anywhere near Central Park and just a short cab ride to other locations. Staff was excellent and friendly! Gave us a new room which was perfect and had been expected. Park view! Rooftop bar and light fare is a hot spot for a younger crowd and the views are wonderful.

Part of this was my confusion thinking this was The Parker Meridien. It is not. It is a horrible hotel next door to the Parker. I’m not sure how this hotel has the LeMeridien or BonVoy brand. The room is ugly. It’s also small and loud -even by NY standards (and I’m used to city noise having lived in nyc for nearly a decade). Our room was dirty when we got in, and the “king size” bed is not actually a king. The elevator broke when we were there meaning we had to take 10 flights of stairs - not that the hotel cared... The Sheraton midtown is much nicer. Stay away. It is dog-friendly though.
